MCPD Arrest Report 02/01/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 54 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 01/31/2019:
Richard J. Cook, 48 years of age, Address-Cypress Village Houma, La. was arrested on 01/31/2019 @ 12:21 pm.
Charge: Improper Lane Usage

No Registration
Warrant-Sexual Battery
An officer in the area of US Hwy 90 near the Martin Luther King exit, observed a vehicle swerving in and out the lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Richard Cook was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that Cook appeared intoxicated. Cook was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, but refused. The officer also noticed an open container of an alcoholic beverage inside the vehicle. A computer check revealed that Cook’s driver’s license was suspended and he also held an active warrant for the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office. Cook was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once the police department, Cook refused to submit to the chemical test for intoxication. A warrant was obtained to have a blood sample withdrawn from Cook. Cook was transported to a medical facility for the sample to be withdrawn. The results of the sample are pending. Cook was transported back to the Morgan City Police Department. Reports indicate that Cook had three prior arrest for driving while intoxicated. Cook was booked and incarcerated.
Thalassa Frickey, 41 years of age, Address-Pecos St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/31/2019 @ 6:50 pm.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear- Theft of Goods
Thalassa Frickey was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant she held for the 16th Judicial District Court. Frickey was booked and incarcerated.
Andronique M. Lemons, 28 years of age, Address-Maine St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/31/2019 @ 2:00 pm.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Probation Fees
Andronique Lemons was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant she held for the 6th Ward City Court. Lemons was booked and incarcerated.
Deon D. Turner, 36 years of age, Address-Joseph Lane Franklin, La. was arrested on 01/31/2019 @ 1:50 pm.
Charge: Improper Lane Usage

Kevin Diggs, 40 years of age, Address-Roys Lane Franklin, La. was arrested on 01/31/2019 @ 1:50 pm.
Charge: Warrant-Probation Violation
An officer in the area of LA Hwy 182 near Martin Luther King Blvd. observed a vehicle swerving in and out the lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Deon Turner. Turner was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Turner’s license was suspended. Turner also held an active warrant for the 16th Judicial District Court. The passenger in the vehicle, Kevin Diggs was found to have an active warrant with the 6th Ward City Court. Both Turner and Diggs was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
