MCPD Arrest Report 02/05/2019

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 44 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 02/04/2019:


Amy Jackson, 36 years of age, Address-Third St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/04/2019 @ 8:37 am.

Charge: No Turn Signal
               Possession of Marijuana
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
               Illegal Use of CDS in Presence of Person under 17

   An officer in the area of Victor II Blvd. observed a vehicle fail to use its turn signal, while turning on David Dr. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Amy Jackson was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Through the course of the traffic stop, Jackson was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The officer also noticed two small children inside the vehicle. The children were released to a guardian. Jackson was placed under and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Cody M. Duhon, 35 years of age, Address-Kaplan, La. was arrested on 02/04/2019 @ 2:58 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Probation Fees
               Warrant-Probation Violation
               Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines

      Cody Duhon was transported from the Lafayette Parish Detention Center to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrant she held for the 6th Ward City Court. Duhon was booked and incarcerated.


Latasha J. Wolf, 32 years of age, Address-Patton St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/04/2019 @ 8:05 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines

   Latasha Wolf was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant she held for the 6th Ward City Court. Wolf was booked and incarcerated.

Virgis Metrejean 02042019

Virgis M. Metrejean, 55 years of age, Address South Bay Rd. Pierre Part, La. was arrested on 02/04/2019 @ 11:59 pm.

                No Registration
                No Insurance
                Possession of Sch II CDS-Methamphetamine
                Possession of Sch III CDS-Suboxone
                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

      An officer on LA Hwy 70 observed a vehicle with only one functioning tail lamp. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Virgis Metrejean was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Metrejean’s driver’s license was suspended and the vehicle was not insured. During the course of the traffic stop, Metrejean was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine, suboxone and drug paraphernalia. Metrejean was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
