MCPD Arrest Report 02/13/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 32 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 2/12/2019:
Dovanan J Francisco, 37 years of age, Address-Robertson St., New Iberia, La. was arrested on 2/12/2019 @ 1:56 P.M.
Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery
Officers responded to a residence on Wren St. regarding a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived and Dovanan J. Francisco was identified as a suspect and had allegedly committed a battery on the victim. Officers located Francisco placed him under arrest and was transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Elzie R. Mason Jr., 44 years of age, Address-River Road, Berwick, La. was arrested on 2/12/2019 @ 3:20 P.M.
Charge: Warrants- Probation Violation
Elzie R. Mason Jr. was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the City Court of Morgan City.
Mason was booked and incarcerated.
Jose Angel Melendez, 32 years of age., Address-Sebby Lane, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 2/12/2019 @ 3:33 P.M.

Damon Wallis was involved in a traffic stop in the area of HWY 182 and Martin Luther Jr. Blvd. During the stop, Wallis was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Wallis was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
