MCPD Arrest Report 02/19/2019

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 40 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 2/18/2019:

J Hue

Jessica Bourgeois, 36 years of age, Address-Andras St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/18/2019 @ 12:00 A.M.

Charge: Possession of Synthetic Marijuana

Officers were called to a local business on Marguerite St. in reference to a female being in possession of Synthetic Marijuana. Upon officers arrival, they came into contact with Jessica Bourgeois who was in possession of suspected Synthetic Marijuana. She was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarcerated.

Myron Hatch, 45 years of age, Address Terrebonne St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/18/2019 @ 5:04 A.M.

Charge: Possession of Methamphetamine

Possession of Marijuana

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Illegal use of CDS in the Presence of a Person under 17 Years

Warrant-Failure to Appear 16^th District Court

Officers of the Morgan City Police Department executed a search warrant at a motel room on HWY 182. Officers came into contact with Myron Hatch and during the search officers located Methamphetamine, Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia in the room. There was also a small child present in the room under the age of 17. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department. Once at Morgan City Police Department officers learned of the outstanding
warrant through 16^th District Court for Hatch. He was booked and incarcerated.

Anthony Francois, 43 years of age, Bowman St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/18/2019 @ 9:11 P.M.

Charge: Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute

Transactions Involving Proceeds from Drugs Offense

Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department conducting an investigation came into contact with Anthony Francois at a local hotel. While conducting their investigation it was learned that Francois was in possession of marijuana with the intent to the sale along with monies from the proceeds of the sales of illegal narcotics. Francois was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Edward James Williams, 38 years of age, Address-Freret St. Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/19/2019 @ 2:09 A.M.

Charge: Remaining after Forbidden

Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

Officers were dispatched to a residence on General McArthur St. in reference to an intoxicated person causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. Upon officers arriving they were advised by the complainant that Edward Williams had been advised to leave the residence but refused and was intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Gerren Jermaine Hayes, 33 years of age, Address-Leona St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/19/2019 @ 4:02 A.M.

Charge: Improper Lane Usage

             Driving Under Suspension

              Possession of MDMA

              Possession of Marijuana

Patrol Officer observed a vehicle using the improper lane of travel in the area of Sixth St. Upon stopping the vehicle the driver was identified as Gerren J Hayes and learned his driver’s license was under suspension. During the stop, Hayes was found to be in possession of Marijuana and MDMA. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
