Arrest Report 04/17/2014

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 04/16/2014:

 

     On 04/16/2014 @ 8:12am, three male juveniles, ages 13,14,15 were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department after a teacher at the Morgan City High School encountered the three juveniles attempting to enter the weight room building on school property.  The juveniles were then observed entering a parked school bus in the parking area, damaging the interior of the bus by activating a fire extinquisher inside the vehicle.  Officers located the subjects nearby and postively identified the juveniles as the suspects.  They were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and each charged with Criminal Mischief and Criminal Trespass.  They were then released to parents pending juvenile court proceedings. 

 

Ricky Duval 04162014

Ricky L. Duval, 33 years of age, Address-Park Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/16/2014 @ 7:16am

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear-Theft by Shoplifting; Warrant: St. Mary S.O.-Failure to Appear on Resisting an Officer and Driving Under Suspension; Resisting an Officer; Criminal Trespass

Officers were dispatched to a Roderick St. apartment regarding an illegally parked vehicle.  While investigating, officers encountered the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Ricky Duval.  Duval could not provide officers with an identification and while attempting to retrieve his identification, fled from officerrs.  Officers searched the area after being provided with a description and with the aid of a tip from a local resident, were able to apprahend the suspect as he fled throughout the neighborhood.  Duval was arrested and found to be wanted on a warrant for the Morgan City Police Department as well as the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department.  Duval was also charged with additional charges related to this incident.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Mong Duval 04162014

Mong T. Duval, 28 years of age, Address-William St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 04/16/2014 @ 1:50pm

Charge: 2 Brake Lights required; No Motor Vehicle Insurance; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Possession of Schedule III CDS-Buprenorphine; Possession of Schedule III CDS-Hydrocodone (4 Counts)

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle being driven with improper lighting in the area of Sixth St. and Brashear Ave. and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver, Mong Duval could not produce a drivers license on her person.  The vehicle was also found to be uninsured.  Officers prepared to issue citations and remove the vehicle from the roadway and upon conducting an inventory, located items of drug paraphernalia, and two different Schedule III CDS drugs, buprenorphine and hydrocodone.  Duval was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

Nicole Fisher 04162014

Nicole M. Fisher, 42 years of age, Address-Belanger St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/16/2014 @ 5:05pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine-Shoplifting; Failure to Pay Fine-Contempt of Court; Contempt of Court

Officers located Nicole Fisher at her Belanger St. residence and placed her under arrest on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department.  Fisher was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Sydnie Wainright 04162014

Sydnie Wainwright, 18 years of age, Address-Chester Bowles, La. was arrested on 04/16/2014 @ 5:14pm

Charge: Disturbing the Peace by Fighting

Officers were dispatched to a complaint of a fight on Chester Bowles in Morgan City.  Officers arrived to investigate and learned that a 14 year old juvenile and an adult, Sydnie Wainwright were invovled in a fistic encounter.  Both were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.  The juvenile was released to parents pending juvenile court proceedings.

Diego C. Guerrero 04162014

Morgan City officers received a complaint from a St. Mary Parish Deputy who observed two subjects involved in a physical altercation on Highway 182.  Officers arrived and learned that the two subjects, Roberto Ramos, and Diego Guerrero had been involved in a fistic encounter before officers encountered them.  The subject both had physical evidence of the encounter and were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

James Follins, 61 years of age, Address-Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/17/2014 @ 11:53am

Charge: Warrant: Contempt of Court

James Follins was arrested on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department after he was located at a Fourth St. residence.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Brandi W. Lacoste 04172014

Brandi W. Lacoste, 31 years of age, Address-Highway 182 Franklin, La. was arrested on 04/17/2014 @ 3:32am

Charge: Possession of Schedule III CDS-Hydrocodone, Imroper Turning; Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Drivers License; Warrant: Improper Lane Usage; Warrant: St. Mary S.O.-Failure to Appear-Traffic Arraignment

Nicole E. Ross, 24 years of age, Address-Lake Road Franklin, La. was arrested on 04/17/2014 @ 3:32am

Charge: Possession of Marijuana


A patrolling officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Front St. and Belanger St. after the vehicle was observed failiing to signal a turn.  They identified the driver as Brandi Lacoste who was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license.  Lacoste was also found to be wanted on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department as well as the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department.  During her arrest, Lacoste was also found to be in possession of a Schedule III CDS-Hydrocodone. A passenger in the vehicle, Nicole Ross was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana.  Both were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.
