MCPD Arrest Report 3/28/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 31 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 3/27/2019:
Christopher L. Pike, 49 years of age, Address-Hunting Rd., Franklin, La., was arrested on 3/27/2019 @ 3:31 P.M.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace by Appearing in Public Intoxicated
An officer of the Morgan City Police Department observed a suspicious subjected on Maple St. The officer attempted to make contact with the subject but before the officer could initiate the stop, the male subject was able to elude the officer hiding in the residential area. A short time later the male subject was located leaving the area between Spruce St. and HWY LA 70. He was detained by officers and identified as Christopher L. Pike. Officers detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and appeared in an intoxicated condition. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Gerian Elliot Lightfoot, 27 years of age, Address-Willow St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 3/28/2019 @ 2:33 A.M.
Charge: Tail Light Violation
Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)
An Officer observed a vehicle traveling on HWY 182 without operating tail lights. The Officer conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Gerian E. Lightfoot. During the traffic stop, Lightfoot was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He was placed under arrested and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
