MCPD Arrest Report 4/8/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 118 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 4/5/2019:
Aaron Alexander Cage, 28 years of age, Address-Brashear Ave., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 4/5/2019 @ 2:07 A.M.
Charge: Domestic Abuse-Pregnant Victim
Fugitive from Justice
On 4-5-2019 Officers were dispatched to a Brashear Ave. residence for a disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke to the victim of a domestic battery. Officers learned the victim was living with Aaron Alexander Cage along with three of their small children. The victim also advised she was currently pregnant with Cages child. The victim informed officers there was a disagreement between the two of them at which time Cage committed a battery on her and left the residence. Cage later met with the investigating officer at the Morgan City Police Department. A warrant check revealed he was wanted by Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office for Theft of a Motor Vehicle. At the conclusion of the interview Cage was placed under arrest. He was booked and incarcerated.
Ciara Vaughtasha Williams, 30 years of age, Address-Third St, Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 4/5/2019 @ 7:20 P.M.
Charge: Warrants- Failure to Appear to Pay Fine (3 Counts)

Officers were dispatched to HWY 182 business in reference to a shoplifter. Officers learned from the complainant, Ciara V. Williams was in the business concealing merchandise in her purse had left walking. Officers located Williams walking a short distance from the business. During the officer’s investigation, the officer located stolen items from the business concealed in her peruse. A warrant check revealed City Court of Morgan City held 19 outstanding warrants for her arrest. She was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City for booking and Incarceration.
Keith Singleton, 50 years of age, Address-Eleventh St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 4/5/2019 @ 10:00 P.M.
Charge: No License Plate Light
No Driver’s License
Possession of Synthetic Marijuana-2 to 28 grams.
A patrol officer observed a vehicle traveling on HWY 182 with a nonfunctioning license plate light and tail light. The officer conducted a traffic stop on HWY 182 and identified the driver as Keith Singleton. A computer check revealed Singleton did not possess a valid driver’s license. During the traffic stop officers located suspected synthetic marijuana in his possession. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Dedrick J Gant Sr., 33 years of age, Address-Live Oak St., Patterson, La., was arrested on 4/6/2019 @ 3:49 A.M.
Charge: Possession of MDMA-2 to 28 grams
Resisting an Officer
Battery on an Officer
Officers conducted a traffic stop on HWY 182 for a traffic violation. Dedrick Gant was identified as a passenger in the vehicle. During the traffic stop officers located several suspected MDMA pills in Gant’s possession. Officer attempted to arrest Grant at with time he began to pull away and struck a second officer. Gant fled on foot but was later captured by pursuing officers hiding under a residence. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Elnora R. Vallery, 64 years of age, Address-Egle St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 4/6/2019 @ 10:13 P.M.
Charge: Aggravated Assault Upon a Dating Partner
Officers were dispatched to an Egle St. residence in reference to an intoxicated female armed with a knife. Upon officers arriving they were informed by the complaint that he and Elnora R. Vallery were in a dating relationship. Officers were advised Vallary was highly intoxicated and began threatening the complainant with a knife. Officers were advised Vallery through the knife on the kitchen floor with police arrived. Officers placed Vallery under arrest and transported her to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Zachary Edwards Duplantis, 32 years of age, Address-Jean Ellen Ave., Houma, La. was arrested on 4/7/2019 @ 3:16 P.M.

Officers were called to Lak End Park in reference to a suspicious person walking around carrying a firearm. Responding officers located and later identified the person as Zachary E. Duplantis. He attempted to hide from officers in a nearby restroom and had the firearm concealed under his shirt. Officers were made contact with Duplantis and found he was in possession of Methamphetamines, Xanax, Suboxone, and drug paraphernalia. Officers also located seven $100.00 counterfeit bills in his possession. Duplantis attempted to destroy some of the methamphetamines that was in his possession. A warrants check revealed Lafourche Sheriff's Office held active warrants for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Kendra Ann Dupre, 32 years of age, Address-East 73rd, Cut Off, La., was arrest on 4/7/2019 @ 3:53 P.M.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle
Officers investigating a complaint of illegal narcotic activity at Lake End Park came into contact with Kendra Dupre. Investigating officers found suspected marijuana and paraphernalia in her possession. Officers also observed an open alcoholic container in the passenger seat of a vehicle she was traveling in. she was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Gerardo Santiago-Garcia, 37 years of age, Address-Chennault St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 4/7/2019 @ 10:04 P.M.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Officers were dispatched to a Chennault St. residence to a disturbance. Upon officers arriving they were advised by the complainant, Gerardo Santiago-Garcia came to the residence highly intoxicated causing a disturbance. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Chad Evans Gros, 44 years of age, Address-Stephensville Rd., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 4/7/209 @ 11:52 P.M.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling on HWY 182 with no headlights on. Officer conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Chad E. Gros. A computer check revealed Gros license was under suspension and 16th District Court held an active warrant for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
