MCPD Arrest Report 4/18/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 46 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 4/17/2019
Drevin M Willis, 20 years of age, Address-Prarie Road North, Franklin, La., was arrested on 4/17/2019 @ 8:05 A.M.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana (1st. Offense)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Officers were dispatched to a single vehicle crash on Martin Luther King Blvd. Upon officers arriving, they came into contact with Drevin M. Willis, who denied being the driver of the vehicle at the time of the crash. During the course of the investigation, a K-9 Officer arrived on scene and deployed MCPD K-9 around the exterior of the vehicle. K-9 Lady showed an odor response for the presence of illegal narcotics. Investigating officers, located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Willis was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Justin Lee Harris, 30 years of age, Address-Roxie Highway, Church Point, La., was arrested on 4/17/2019 @ 3:15 P.M.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear
Justin L. Harris was located at Acadia Parrish Sheriff's Office and placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant held by City Court of Morgan City. He was transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Carol Marie Spain, 31 years of age, Address-Myra St. Franklin, La., was arrested on 4/17/2019 @ 11:22 P.M.
Charge: Proper Equipment Required
Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage
Possession of Schedule IV Phentermine Hydrochloride
Officers conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation on U.S. 90. The driver was identified as Carol Marie Spain. During the course of the traffic investigation officers located suspected Phentermine Hydrochloride which is a controlled substance in Spain possession. Officers also located an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle. She was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Tremaine Ruffin Jr., 20 years of age, Address-Clements St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 4/18/2019 @ 12:46 A.M.
Charge: Warrant-Simple Robbery
Officers came into contact with Tremaine Ruffin Jr. on HWY 182. A warrants check revealed Morgan City Police Department held an active warrant for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Aaron Michael Dinger, 26 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 4/18/2019 @ 4:36 A.M.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear
Officers came into contact with Aaron M. Dinger in the area of Duke St. A warrants checked revealed an active warrant held by 16th District Court. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
