MCPD Arrest Report 5/6/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 125 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 5/3/2019:
Courtnie Chenevert, 36 years of age, Address-Onstead St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 5/3/2019 @ 2:44 P.M.
Charge: Simple Battery on a Police Officer
Courtnie Chenevert who was an inmate at the Morgan City Police Department became combative and committed a battery on an office while in the Morgan City Police Department. She was booked and incarcerated.
Robert Watkins, 40 years of age, Address-Gray St., Gray, La., was arrested on 5/3/2019 @ 5:30 P.M.
Charge: Warrant-Disturbing the Peace Fighting
Robert Watkins turned himself into the Morgan City Police Department on an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The warrant stems from an April 22, 2019 incident on Federal Ave. which the warrant alleges Watkins was involved in a fight with another person. He was booked and incarcerated
Daniel Earl Goodwin, 38 years of age, Address-HWY 90, Franklin, La., was arrested 5/3/2019 @ 8:18 P.M.
Charge: Illegal Carry of a Weapon
Officers received a complaint of a person carrying a concealed handgun in his waistband on Front St. Officers located and identified the person as Daniel Goodwin. Goodwin advised officers he did not have a conceal carrying permit and located a concealed handgun in his waistband. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Caroline Stephanie Huddleston-Causadias, 28 years of age, Address-Bernice St., Morgan City, La. was arrested on 5/3/2019 @ 11:57 P.M.
Charge: Warrants- Failure to Appear (3 Counts)
Officers come into contact with Caroline Stephanie Huddleston-Causadias on Victor II Blvd. A warrant check revealed City Court of Morgan City held active warrants for her arrest. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Jarred M. Knight, 33 years of age, Address- Homeless, was attested on 5/4/2019 @ 12:52 P.M.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear
Jarred M. Knight was located at Berwick Police Department and placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant held by City Court of Morgan City. He was transported to Morgan City Police Department and booking and incarceration.
Austin Taylor McLaughlin, 24 years of age, Address-Glenwood St., Morgan City, La. was arrested on 5/4/2019 1:48 P.M.
Charge: Warrants-Carnal Knowledge of Juvenile

Violation of Uniform CDS Drug-Free Zone

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department responded to information received from the Louisiana Department of Child and Family Services alleging an inappropriate relationship involving a 24-year-old adult male, Austin McLaughlin and a female juvenile, 14 years of age. During the investigation, evidence was recovered which supported the complaint. The suspect, McLaughlin was located and arrested after a warrant was secured by Morgan City Police Detectives and was also wanted on outstanding arrest warrants for the Morgan City Police Department. Investigators additional located marijuana and items of paraphernalia resulting in additional charges being filed. The investigation is continuing.
Shannon Charles Conley, 31 years of age, Address-Tiffany St., Patterson, La., was arrested on 5/4/2019 @ 2:48 P.M.
Charge: Failure to Appear (2 counts)
Possession of Marijuana
Officers came into contact with Shannon C. Conley on Victor II Blvd. A warrants check revealed City Court of Morgan City held active warrants for his arrest. When officers placed him under arrest he was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He was transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Earlisa Patrice Triggs, 31 years of age, Address- Idaho St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 5/4/2019 @ 6:33 P.M.
Charge: Warrant-Simple Battery
Officers came into Earlisa P. Triggs on Martin Luther King Blvd. and learned Morgan City Police Department held an active warrant for her arrest. The warrant stems from a March 3rd, 2019 complaint which the warrant alleges her of committing a battery on the victim. She was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Scotty James Farbe, 57 years of age, Address-Versen St., Berwick, La., was arrested on 5/5/2019 @ 2:26 A.M.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear
Scotty J. Farbe was located at Berwick Police Department and placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant held by City Court of Morgan City. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
