MCPD Arrest Report 5/20/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 123 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 5/17/2019:
Delane Derreck Short, 47 years of age, Address-Bayou Black Drive, Gibson, La., was arrested on 5/17/2019 @ 12:33 P.M.
Charge: Driving under Suspension
An officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on HWY 182 and identified the driver as Delane Derreck Short. During the traffic stop, a computer check revealed Delane Short driver’s license was under suspension. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Lucio Garcia, 34 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 5/17/2019 @ 10:33 P.M.
Charge: Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
No Driver’s License
Driving While in Intoxicated (Second Offense)
A patrol officer observed a vehicle driving in a reckless manner in the area of Victor II Blvd. and David Dr. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was identified as Lucio Garcia and a computer check revealed Garcia did not possess a valid driver’s license. During the traffic stop, the officer suspected driver impairment and conducted a Field Sobriety test and Garcia did poorly. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. He was given an intoxilyzer test and gave a breath sample of .207g%. He was booked and incarcerated.
Bobby Randy Mouton, 44 years of age, Address-Rosario Dr., Patterson, La., was arrested on 5/18/2019 @ 2:31 A.M.

An officer working a security detail at a local business on HWY 182 was advised Bobby R. Mouton was causing a disturbance with other customers in the business. Mouton was advised to leave the property but refused. When officers came into contact with Mouton, they observed he was in an intoxicated condition. Mouton was placed under arrest and pulled away from the officer. Mouton was eventually handcuffed and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department Mouton kicked an officer. He was booked and incarcerated.
Scott Solji Chaisson, 48 years of age, Address-Uranus St., Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on 5/18/2019 @ 2:39 A.M.

An officer was dispatched to a residence on Brashear Ave. in reference to a male subject causing a disturbance outside their residence and refused to leave the property. The responding officer located Chaisson still on the property causing a disturbance. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Erica Denise Boudreaux, 31 years of age, Address-Grizzaffi St., Morgan City, La. was arrest on 5/18/2019 @ 10:50 A.M.

Illegal use of CDS in the Presence of a Person Under 17 years of age
Violation of Uniform CDS Laws-Drug Free Zone
Officers responding to a disturbance call at a residence on Grizzaffi St. encountered Erica Denise Boudreaux inside the residence. Officers observed evidence of illegal narcotics in the home and obtain a search warrant. Upon executing the search warrant officers located suspected marijuana, MDMD, and drug paraphernalia. There were two young children at the residence which was located within the drug-free zone. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Rene Paul Cothron, 54 years of age, Address-Pharr St., Berwick, La., was arrested on 5/19/2019 @ 11:17 A.M.

An officer on patrol observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation at the intersection of HWY 182 and Martin Luther King Blvd. Upon conducting a traffic stop the driver was identified as Rene P Cothron. During the traffic investigation, it was learned the vehicle he was driving did not have motor vehicle Insurance. He was also found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine, Amphetamine, Buprenorphine, Gabapentin, and drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Zackery Dane Johnson, 33 years of age, Address-Moffett Court, Bayou Lourse, La., was on 5/19/2019 @ 1:47 P.M.

Officers received information of illegal narcotic activity at a local motel on HWY 182. Through their investigation obtain a search warrant for the motel. Upon officers executing the search warrant, officers came into contact with Zachery D. Johnson. He was found to be in possession of methamphetamines which was intended for sales in the Morgan City area. Johnson was also located in possession of suspected T.H.C. Oil, Steriods, Clonazepam, Gabapentin, and drug paraphernalia. Johnson was placed under arrested and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Kip Joseph Gaspard, 54 years of age, Address-HWY 70 Belle River, La., was arrested on 5/19/2019 @ 11:24 P.M.

An officer observed a vehicle speeding on LA 70 and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Kip Gaspard and a computer check revealed his license was under suspension. A warrant check revealed City Court held active warrants for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
