MCPD Arrest Report 5/24/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 59 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 5/23/2019:
Cory Chapman, 54 years of age, Address-Verdun Lane, Franklin La., was arrested on 5/23/2019 @ 10:13 A.M.
Charge: Warrant-Theft under $1,000.00
Cory Chapman was located at Hunt Correctional Center and placed under arrest on a warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an April 24, 2018 incident. The warrant alleges Chapman committed a theft valued at $80.00. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department and booked and incarcerated.
Michael Joseph Thomson Jr., 33 years of age, Address-Allison St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 5/23/2019 @ 10:20 A.M.
Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery-Strangulation
Officers were dispatched to an Allison St. residence in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon officers arriving they identified Michael J. Thomas as being involved in the domestic disturbance. Officers learned from the victim that Michael J. Thomson Jr. had strangled them during a domestic dispute. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Amanda K. Parker, 29 years of age, Address-Allison St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 5/23/2019 @ 10:31 A.M.
Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery
Officers were dispatched to a complaint of a domestic disturbance on Allison St. Officers learned Amanda Parker had committed a battery on a dating partner. She was placed under arrest and was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Claude Moses Charlot, 25 years of age, Address-Leonard St., Patterson, La, was arrested on 5/23/2019 @ 10:18 P.M.
Charge: Warrants-Failure to Appear (3 Counts)
Officers came into contact with Claude Charlot at an apartment complex on Roderick St. A warrants check revealed City Court of Morgan City held active warrants for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police for booking and incarceration.
