MCPD Arrest Report 6/3/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 36-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 118 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 5/31/2019:
Gilbert Christopher Howard, 49 years of age, Address-Youngs Rd., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 5/31/2019 @ 11:26 A.M.
Charge: Warrant-Aggravated Battery
Gilbert G. Howard was located at St. Mary L.E.C. and placed under arrested on active warrants held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from a November 20, 2018 incident which the warrant alleges Howard of committing an aggravated battery on a victim. He was booked and incarcerated.
Lorelyne Marie Gotcher, 33 years of age, Address-Terrebonne St., was arrested on 5/31/2019 @ 2:14 P.M.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear
Lorelyne M. Gotcher was located at Franklin Police Department. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Chantelle Marie Hebert, 46 years of age, Address-West Main St. Delcambre, La., was arrested on 6/1/2019 @ 2:20 A.M.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear (2 Counts)
Chantelle M. Hebert was located at the Morgan City Police Department and placed under arrest on active warrants held by City Court of Morgan City. She was booked and incarcerated.
Anthony C. Janney, 58 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 6/1/2019 @ 5:01 P.M.
Charge: Criminal Trespassing
Officers were dispatched to a Maine St. residence in reference to Anthony C. Janney refusing to leave the residence. Upon officers arriving, they came into contact with Janney who was refusing to leave the property. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police De[artment for booking and incarceration.
Shayna Tatum, 24 years of age, Address-Aucoin St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 6/1/2019 @ 8:35 P.M.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear
Shayna Tatum was located at the Patterson Police Department and transported to the Morgan City Police Department on warrants held by City Court of Morgan City. She was booked and incarcerated.
Donna Harvey, 60 years of age, Address-Tiffany St., Patterson, La., was arrested on 6/1/2019 @ 9:05 P.M.
Charge: Warrant-Probation Violation
Officers came into contact with Donna Harvey on Brashear Ave. and a warrants check revealed 16th District Court held an active warrant for her arrest. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Marvin Elvir, 38 years of age, Address-Chirpys Lane, Morgan City, La., was arrested 6/2/2019 @ 6/2/2019 @ 6:43 P.M.

Driving under suspension
An officer observed a vehicle speeding on HWY 182 and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Marvin Elvir and upon running a computer check it was revealed his driver's license was under suspension. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Candice Lee Ross, 33 years of age, Address-East Garner, Morgan City, La., was arrested on 6/2/2019 @ 11:21 P.M.
Charge: Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin
Illegal carrying of a weapon
Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Suboxone
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Violation of Uniform CDS Laws
Warrant- Domestic Abuse Battery
Officers with the Morgan City Police Department executed a search warrant at a local hotel on HWY 182. Officers located Candice Lee Ross in the room at the time of the execution of the search warrant. During the search, officers located suspected heroin that was destined to be sold in the Morgan City area. Officers also located suspected marijuana, suboxone, and drug paraphernalia along with a 9mm handgun. The motel room was within a drug-free zone. Candice Ross was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration
