MCPD Arrest Report 6/6/2019

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 36 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 6/5/2019:

Kyle Bush, 27 years of age, Address-HWY 308, Labadieville, La., was arrested on 6/5/2019 @ 11:59 A.M. 

Charge: Careless Operation
               Expired Driver's License 
               Failure to Secure Vehicle Registration 
               Warrant-Failure to Appear (2 Counts)

Officers were dispatched to the area of 7000 Block of HWy 182 in reference to a vehicle crash. Upon officers arriving, they identified Kyle Bush as one of the drivers of the vehicles involved in the crash. Officers discovered during their investigation Kyle Bush committed a traffic violation leading to the cause of the crash. Bush could not provide proof of vehicle registration and that his driver's license was expired. A warrant check revealed City Court of Morgan City held active warrants for his arrest. Bush was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 
Bryanshekia Harris

Bryanshekia Shantell Harris, 31 years of age, Address-Adams St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 6/5/2019 @ 2:47 P.M. 

Charge: Warrant-Theft under $1,000.00 
                             Criminal Trespassing 
                             Contempt of Court (2 Counts)
                             Failure to Appear (2 Counts)

Bryanshekia Shantell Harris was located at the Morgan City Police Department and placed under arrest on active warrants held the Morgan City Police Department and the City Court of Morgan City. The warrant for Theft and Criminal Trespassing stems from a February 26th, 2019 incident. The warrant alleges Harris of entering a business which she was was previously barred from and committing a theft valued at $80.00. She was booked and incarcerated.

Nicholas Rock Chavin, 39 years of age, Address-Third St., Berwick, La. was arrested on 6/5/2019 @ 9:34 P.M. 

Charge: Warrants-Aggravated Battery 
                              Criminal Damage to Property less than $1,000.00

Nicholas R. Chauvin was located at the Berwick Police Department and placed under arrest on two separate warrants held by the Morgan City Police Department. The aggravated battery warrant alleges he committed a battery on a victim with a weapon on May, 16th, 2019 and the criminal damage to property warrant alleges he damaged a victims property valued @ $300.00 on May 23, 2018. He was booked and incarcerated.
