Arrest Report 05/12/2014

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 05/09/2014:

 

 

Bryant W. Francois, 32 years of age, Address-Everette St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/09/2014 @ 10:23am

Charge: Warrant: Two Headlights Required; Warrant: Failure to Appear-No Driver License

Bryant Francois was located at LEC in Centerville, La. and arrested on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated on the outstanding warrants. 

 

Brittany D. Martin, 25 years of age, Address-Lizabeth Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/09/2014 @ 4:24pm

Charge: Simple Battery of a Correctional Officer

     Brittany Martin, who was being housed in the Morgan City Jail facility was arrested and charged with battery of a correctional officer after she grabbed a correctional officer in an inappropriate manner.  Murphy was booked and re-incarcerated. 

 

Robert W. Welter, 50 years of age, Address-Cenac Dr. Houma, La. was arrested on 05/09/2014 @ 11:05pm

Charge: Appearing in Public Intoxicated

Robert Welter was located on Martin Luther King Dr. near Highway 90 after police received a complaint of an intoxicated subject walking in the roadway.  Officers loczated Welter and discovered him to be in an impaired condition.  Welter, who refused to cooperate with officers was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Jeremiah J. Aucoin, 32 years of age, Address-Pluto St. Bayou Vista, La. was arrested on 05/10/2014 @ 11:37am

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear-Theft by Shoplifting; Warrant: Contempt of Court

     Jeremiah Aucoin was located at Lake End Park in Morgan City and placed under arrest on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department.  Aucoin was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Rashaud A. Thomas, 19 years of age, Address-Grace St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/11/2014 @ 12:23am

Charge: Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense; Red Light Violation; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle disregard a traffic signal in the area of East Blvd. and Highway 182 and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver, Rashaud Thomas was identified by the officer.  During the stop, officers located suspected marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia in Rashaud's possession.  Rashaud Thomas was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Arturo L. Pedroza, 32 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/11/2014 @ 2:18am

Charge: Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicted; No Drivers License; Improper Lane Usage

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner and stopped the vehicle in the area of Seventh St. and Brashear Ave.  The driver, Arturo Pedroza could not produce a valid drivers license and exhibited signs of impairment.  Pedroza failed a field sobriety test and was arrested.  Once at the Morgan City Police Department, Pedroza submitted to an Intoxilyzer 5000 test, which results indicated a blood alcohol concentration of .129g%. He was booked and incarcerated. 

 

Raheem A. Colar, 19 years of age, Address-Roselawn Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/11/2014 @  7:17pm

Charge: Improper Turning; No Drivers License on Person; Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information

     A patrollling officer observed a vehicle drive through private property at the intersection of Highway 182 and Myrtle St. in an attempt to avoid a traffic control device and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver, Raheem Colar attempted to provide the officer with a drivers license that did not belong to him in an effort to conceal his true identity.  Colar, who himself did not possess a valid drivers license was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and release after posting a cash bond.
