MCPD Arrest Report 7/16/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 63 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 7/15/2019:
Anthony Michael Ambriz, 23 years of age, Address-Darren Drive, Denham Springs, La., was arrested on 7/15/2019 4:46 P.M.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana under 14 grams (1st Offense)
Possession of Heroin between 2-28 grams
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
A patrol officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on Martin Luther King Blvd. The officer conducted a traffic stop and could detect the odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle. During the officer's investigation, he identified Anthony M Ambriz as a passenger. Ambriz was found to have suspected marijuana, heroin, and drug paraphernalia in his possession. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
