Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 51 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 7/16/2019:
David Tyronne Francois, 47 years of age, Address-Barrow St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 7/16/2019 @ 3:32 P.M.
Charge: Warrant-Remaining where Forbidden
David T. Francois turned himself into the Morgan City Police Department on an active warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from a July 12, 2019 incident. He was booked and incarcerated.
Tra Andrew Acosta, 22 years of age, Address-Cypress St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 7/16/2019 @ 9:27 P.M.
Charge: View Outward or Inward Through Windshield
Warrant-Hit and Run
A patrol officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the area of Federal Ave. and Terrebonne St. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Tray A. Acosta. A warrants check revealed the Morgan City Police Department held an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant stems from a traffic crash investigation on June 22, 2019. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
