Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 48 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 7/18/2019:
Robert Mulligan, 66 years of age, Address-Fourth St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 7/18/2019 @ 7:54 P.M.
Charge: Warrant: Probation Violation
An officer came into contact with Robert Mulligan in the area of First St. and Railroad Ave. A warrant check revealed the State of Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections Division held a probation warrant. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Department for booking and incarceration.
Derrick Germance Butler Jr., 27 years of age, Address-Pershing St., New Iberia, La., was arrested on 7/18/2019 @ 11:07 A.M.
Charge: Warrant-Contempt of Court
A patrol officer conducted a traffic stop on HWY 182 for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Derrick G. Butler Jr. A warrant check revealed City Court of Morgan City held an active warrant for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Department for booking and incarceration.
