MCPD Arrest Report 8/1/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 48 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 07/31/2019:
Alanni Marchae' Clark, 25 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 7/31/2019 @ 8:01 A.M.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear (2 Counts)
Officers came into contact with Alanni M. Clark on Mallard St. A warrants check revealed City Court of Morgan City held active warrants for her arrest. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Fred Purnell Kenner, 32 years of age, Address-Grace St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 7/31/2019 @ 10:09 A.M.
Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery-Pregnant

Warrant-Failure to Appear-(4 Counts)
Officers were called to Mallard St. for a domestic disturbance. Upon officers arriving they spoke to the victim and learned as police arrived, Fred Kenner fled out the rear door of the residence. Officers observed signs of a battery on the victim. Officers were advised by the victim that they were in a dating relationship and she was pregnant. Officers then began to search the area and later found Fred Kenner in the area of 200 the block of Mallard St. Officers attempted to stop him at which time he fled from police. After a brief foot chase was apprehended without incident. A computer check revealed City Court of Morgan City held active warrants for his arrest and he was barred from the Morgan City Housing Authority Property. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Kevin Pual Knapp, 51 years of age, Address-Country Rd., Bourg, La., was arrested on 7/31/2019 @ 11:15 P.M.
Charge: Driving While Intoxicated (2nd Offense)

Resisting an Officer
Officers were dispatched to HWY 182 in reference to a reckless driver. Responding officers located the vehicle on HWY 182 swerving in and out of the lane of traffic. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Kevin P. Knapp. A computer check revealed his driver's license was under suspension. During the traffic investigation, the officer suspected driver impairment. As the officers ordered Kevin Knapp out of his vehicle for a field sobriety test, he attempted to start the vehicle and drive off. Officers were able to stop Mr. Knapp and place him under arrest. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the Morgan City Police Department he was given a field sobriety test which he performed poorly on. Knapp refused the Intoxilyzer test. He was booked and incarcerated.
Harold Allen Sheets, 35 years of age, Address-Everett St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 7/31/2019 @ 6:25 P.M.
Charge: Possession Of Marijuana (2nd Offense)
Disturbing the Peace
Officers were dispatched to a business on Brashear Ave. in reference to an intoxicated person sleeping outside the business. Upon officers arrival, they located and identified the person as Harold Allen Sheets. Harold Sheets was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Trent Eugene Wilson, 26 years of age, Address-Brashear Ave., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 3/31/2019 @ 11:07 P.M.
Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery
False Imprisonment
Officers were dispatched to a located a local motel on HWY 182 in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon officers arrival, they spoke with the victim. They learned the victim and Trent E. Wilson was in a dating relationship. They learn Wilson had committed a battery on the victim and refused to allow the victim to leave the motel. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Miguel Juarez, 28 years of age, Address-Roderick St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 8/1/2019 @ 12:18 A.M.
Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery
Officers were dispatched to a residence on Roderick St. in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon officers arrival, they spoke with the victim. The victim advised officers she and Miguel Juarez lived together as husband and wide. Officers learned Miguel Juarez had committed a battery on the victim and observed signs that were consistent with a battery on the victim. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
