Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 36-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 143 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 08/2/2019:
Areana Candanedo Urbano-Duran, 28 years of age, Address-Freret St., Moran City, La., was arrested on 8/2/2019 @ 7:29 A.M.
Charge: Driving under Suspension
No Insurance
An officer on patrol observed Areana Candanedo Urbano-Duran driving a vehicle on HWY 182. Due to past traffic investigations, it was known to the officer her driver's license was under suspension. A computer check verified her license was still under suspension. A traffic stop was conducted. A computer check revealed the vehicle she was driving was not insured. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration
Francis Boudreaux, 34 years of age, Address-Legnon Court, Morgan City, La., was arrested on 8/2/2019 @ 9:50 A.M.
Charge: Failure to Appear (2 Counts)
Francis Boudreaux was located at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center and placed under arrest on active warrants held be City Court of Morgan City. She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booked and incarcerated.
Aketa Raquel Francis, 26 years of age, Address-Egle St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 8/2/2019 @ 11:30 A.M.

Jessica J. Gollmer, 38 years of age, Address-Oregon St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 8/2/2019 @ 11:30 A.M.

Officers were alerted to a fight in one of the cells in the Morgan City Jail. During the investigation, it was learned Aketa R. Francis and Jessica J. Gollmer engaged in a fistic encounter with one another. Francis and Gollmer were booked on one count of simple battery.
Ruth Escort Crachain, 59 years of age, Address-Sixth St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 8/2/2019 @ 12:55 P.M.
Charge: Warrant- Remaining after Forbidden

The warrant stems from a July 5, 2019 complaint received by the Morgan City Police Department. The complainant reported Ruth E. Crachain entered onto the property and committed a battery on the victim. Ruth Crachain turned herself into the Morgan City Police Department. She was booked and incarcerated.
Jo Ann Landry, 55 years of age, Address-7th St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 8/2/2019 @ 11:41 P.M.
Charge: Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle

An officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the area of HWY 182 and Florence St. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Jo Ann Landry. During the traffic stop, the officer suspected driver impairment. Landry submitted to a field sobriety test and did poorly. She was placed under arrest. During the arrest, Officer located suspected THC Wax in her possession. She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the Morgan City Police Department she was given an intoxilyzer test. She gave a breath sample of 257%. She was booked and incarcerated.
Myles Anthony Morgan, 31 years of age, Address-Front St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 8/3/2019 @ 1:34 P.M.
Charge: Warrant-Criminal Damage to Property
The warrant stems from a July 22, 2019 complaint received by the Morgan City Police Department. Officers were called to a Front St. residence about Myles Morgan Damaging property valued at $105.00. A warrant later issued for his arrest.
Officers came into contact with Myles Morgan on Front St. A warrants check revealed the Morgan City Police Department held an active warrant for his arrest. He was placed under arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Jennifer C. Jones, 47 years of age, Address-Louisa St., Morgan City, La., was placed under arrested on 8/3/2019 @ 7:06 P.M.

An officer on patrol observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the area of HWY 182 and Third St. A traffic stop was conducted and identified Jennifer Jones as a passenger in the vehicle. During the traffic stop, suspected marijuana was located in Jennifer Jones possession. A computer check revealed Jones was wanted by Lafayette Sheriff's Office on an outstanding warrant. She was placed under arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Haven Wiggins, 18 years of age, Address-Sacred Heart Dr., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 8/3/2019 @ 8:04 P.M.

A computer check revealed the vehicle was driving was not insured. During the traffic investigation, Patrick T. Baggett was found to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine and drug Paraphernalia. He was placed under arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Rayan James Bowman, 24 years of age, Address-Jupiter St., Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on 8/4/2019 @ 4:27 A.M.

An officer on patrol observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the area Brashear and Fourth St. A traffic stop was conducted. During the traffic investigation, April E. Hocker was identified as one of the passengers in the vehicle. She was found to be in possession of suspected drug paraphernalia during the stop. She was placed under arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
