The following were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 05/15/2014:

 

 

Shanda N. Perdue, 20 years of age, Address-Halsey St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/15/2014 @ 4:58pm

Charge: Disturbing the Peace by Fighting

Areana S. Cannadoe, 24 years of age, Address-Halsey St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/15/2014 @ 4:58pm

     Officers were dispatched to a Halsey St. residence regarding a fight between two females.  Officers arrived and learned that Shanda Perdue and Areana Cannadoe had been involved in a fistic encounter causing a disturbance at the residence.  Both females were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Craig M. Free, 28 years of age, Address-River Rd. Berwick, La. was arrested on 05/15/2014 @ 5:29pm

Charge: Warrant: No Insurance; Warrant: License Plate Required; Warrant-St. Mary Parish S.O.-Failure to Appear for Violation of a Protective Order

Craig Free was located at the Berwick Police Department and placed under arrest on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department as well as the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Diedra R. James, 36 years of age, Address-Fifth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/15/2014 @ 10:00pm

Charge: Warrant: Contempt of  Court (2 Counts)

Diedra James was located near Grizzaffi St. and Highway 182 and placed under arrest on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department.  She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Gregory P. Harris, 32 years of age, Address-Terrebone St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/15/2014 @ 10:50pm

Charge: Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Illegal Use of Controlled Drug in the Presence of Persons under the age of 17; Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Law-School Zone; Possession of Schedule III CDS-Hydrocodone

Detectives with the Narcotics Division of the Morgan City Police Department executed a search warrant at a Terrebone St. residence.  The warrant was secured during an investigation into the illegal sales of narcotics from the residence.  Officers located the resident, Gregory Harris and found him to be in possession of a Schedule III CDS-Hydrocodone.  During the search, investigators also located suspected marijuana which Harris admitted to selling from the residence.  Due to the fact that the activity was taking place in the presence of juveniles and within 1000 ft of a Drug Free and School Zone, Harris was additionally charged with those violations.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and remains incarcerated. 

 

 

Austin T. Martinez, 20 years of age, Address-Maple St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/15/2014 @ 2:37am

Charge: Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Drivers License; No License Plate Lamp

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle on Highway 182 with improper lighting and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver of the vehicle, Austin Martinez was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended driver's license.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
