Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 96-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 219 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 08/30/2019:
John Menser, 40 years of age, Address-Judy Lane, Patterson, La., was arrested on 8/30/2019 @ 10:34 A.M.
Charge: Warrant-Contempt of Court
John Menser was located at Terrebonne Parrish Sheriff's Detention Center and placed under arrest on an active warrant held by City Court of Morgan City. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Carl Wayne Allen Jr., 28 years of age, Address-Wren St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 8/30/2019 @ 11:00 A.M.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear (6 Counts)
Carl W. Allen Jr. turned himself into the Morgan City Police Department on active warrants held by City Court of Morgan City. He was booked and incarcerated.
Jason Paul Cavalier Jr., 44 years of age, Address-Hilda St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 8/30/2019 @ 3:40 P.M.
Charge: Warrant-Simple Assault
The warrant stems from a July 30, 2019, complaint filed with the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant alleges Jason Cavalier threatened another with bodily harm. He was located at the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center and placed under arrest. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Steven G. Frazier, 66 years of age, Address-Second St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 8/31/2019 @ 1:50 A.M.

A patrol officer observed a traffic violation in the area of Marguerite St. and Seventh St. The driver was identified as Steven Frazier. The officer suspected driver impairment. A standardized field sobriety test was given. He performed poorly on the test and was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department and was given an intoxilyzer test. He gave a breath sample of .162g%. He was booked and incarcerated.
Cody Lee Ambrose, 28 years of age, Address-South Satsuma Road, Walker, La., was arrested on 8/31/2019 @ 12:21 A.M.

Driving under Suspension
A patrol officer observed a traffic violation in the area of Brashear Ave. and Fourth St. The driver was identified as Cody L. Ambrose. During the traffic stop, the officer observed the motor vehicle inspection sticker and temporary license had been altered. A computer check revealed Ambrose's license was under suspension and had no motor vehicle insurance. The officer also observed an open alcoholic beverage in his vehicle. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Gerald Wayne Cooks, 58 years of age, Address-General Hodges, Morgan City, La., was placed under arrest on 8/31/2019 @ 2:12 A.M.
Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery
Resisting an Officer
Officers were called to a General Hodges St. residence for a domestic disturbance. Upon officers arriving, they came into contact with a person later identified as Gerald W. Cooks. Officers learned Cooks had committed a battery on his dating partner. During the investigation, Cooks refused to identify himself. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

The warrants stem from an April 26, 2019 traffic investigation. An officer conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Stephanie M. Harvey. During the traffic stop, she was found in possession of numerous pills, suspected marijuana, and methamphetamine. The suspect narcotics were collected and sent to the crime lab. A warrant was later issued for her arrest. She was located at St. Mary Law Enforcement Center and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking. During the booking process, a correctional officer noticed Harvey attempting to conceal an item. The correctional officer was able to recover the item and identify it as a fentanyl patch. She was additionally charged and incarcerated
Debra Belanger Mills, 49 years of age, Address-Hebert Lane, Morgan City, La., was arrested on 8/31/2019 @ 12:04 P.M.

Officers were called to a business on LA Highway 70 about a person causing a disturbance. Upon officers arrival, they learned Debra B. Mills refused to leave the property and was causing a disturbance. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Jordan Luke Vidos, 34 years of age, Address-North Third St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 8/31/2019 @ 6:49 P.M.
Charge: Warrant- Possession of Synthetic Marijuana (1st Offense)
The warrant stems from May 6, 2019 traffic investigation. During the investigation, Jordan Vidos was found to be in possession of suspected synthetic marijuana. A warrant was later issued for his arrest. He was located in the area of Third St. and Freret St. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarcerated.
Heather Marie Theriot, 41 years of age, Address-First St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 8/31/2019 @ 11:41 P.M.

Heather M. Theriot was transported from St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for housing. During the booked process a warrant for the City Court of Morgan City was revealed. She was booked and incarcerated.

Officers were called to a local business on Brashear Ave. in reference to a person causing a disturbance. When officers arrived they located Brett Sanders causing a disturbance. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department. He was given an intoxilyzer test and gave a breath sample of .220g%. He was booked and incarcerated.
Carla James Johnson, 57 years of age, Address-Marshell St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 9/1/2019 @ 8:13 P.M.
Charge: Warrant-First Degree Rape
The warrant stems from a complaint filed on September 1, 2019. Officers responded to a call of a person receiving bodily injuries from a battery. When officers arrived, they learned the injuries were sustained during a sexual assault. During the investigation, Carla James Johnson was developed as a suspect. A warrant was obtained for his arrest. He was located at the Morgan City Police Department and placed under arrest. He was booked and incarcerated.
Ethan M. Mensman, 22 years of age, Address-Taft St., Patterson, La., was arrested on 9/2/2019 @ 1:03 A.M.

Officers came into contact with Ethan Mensman in the area of Federal Ave. and Brashear Ave. A warrants check revealed City Court of Morgan City held an active warrant for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Daniel Denario Robinson, 21 years of age, Address-Brashear Ave., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 9/2/2019 @ 4:33 A.M.

Officers were called to Railroad Ave. about a person appearing to be under the influence outside their residence. When officers arrived they came into contact with Daniel Robinson. Officers observed he was appeared to be in an intoxicated condition. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration

A patrol officer observed a traffic violation in the area of Highway 182 and Duke St. The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle fled from officers disregarding several traffic signals. The vehicle fled north on Sixth St. to Aucoin St. before pulling over. The driver was identified as Joseph Estay III. A computer check revealed Estay did not possess a valid driver's license. During the traffic stop, the officer suspected driver impairment. He was placed under arrest transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the Morgan City Police Department he was giving a standardized field sobriety test which he performed poorly on. He was given an intoxilyzer test and gave a breath sample of .168g%. He was booked and incarcerated.
Amber Taylor, 30 years of age, Address-Orange St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 9/2/2019 @ 1:33 P.M.
Charge: Driving While Intoxicated-Child Endangerment
Officers were dispatched to a Federal Ave. business about Amber Taylor purchasing alcohol and consuming as she walked out of the store. Upon officers arriving at the store, officers were advised Taylor left the store with two small children in the vehicle. The officers were given a description of the vehicle and located it on Orange St. A traffic stop was conducted and located Taylor with a small child on her lap unrestrained. She was given a standardized field sobriety test. She performed poorly on the test and was placed under arrest. She was transported to a local medical facility and a blood sample was drawn for testing. Test results pending testing at the Louisiana State Crime Lab. She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Cassie Rankin, 30 years of age, Address-Faith St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 9/2/2019 @ 9:40 P.M.

Officers were dispatched to a business on Victor II Blvd. about a person on the property causing a disturbance. When officers arrived they learned Cassie Rankin was the person causing the disturbance and refusing to leave. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
