MCPD arrest report for 09/04/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded 41 to calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 09/04/2019:
Michael Richardson, 50 years of age, Caldwell Rd Ponchatoula, La was arrested on 09/04/2019 at 4:03 pm
Charges: Simple Burglary
Criminal Damage to Property Less than $1000.00
Resisting an officer
Possession of Burglary Tools
Officers were called to a local hotel after employees noticed a subject breaking into a laundry machine. As officers arrived on scene they were told by employees that the suspect was exiting the building. After a short foot chase officers were able to catch the subject and identified as Michael Richardson. As officers were chasing Richardson they observed several items used to commit the burglary. Richardson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Illegal use of CDS in the Presence of Person Under 17
Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I-Marijuana
Narcotics Detectives executed a search warrant at a Hilda St. residence. Detectives made contact with the homeowner identified as Todd Aucoin, detectives also located James Alfred and Tessie Toups at the residence. During a search of the residence officers located suspected Methamphetamine, Marijuana and drug paraphernalia. During the investigation, Aucoin is suspected to have been selling marijuana from the residence. James Alfred and Tessie Toups were found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine. Detectives found that one of the subjects at the residence was under the age of 17. Aucoin, Alfred, and Toups were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.
