MCPD Arrest Report for 09/30/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded 123 to calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 09/27/2019:
Scott Barbier, 49 years of age, Florence St. Morgan City, LA was arrested on 09/27/2019 at 8:59 am
Charge: Abuse of Toxic Vapors
Officers were called to a Florence St. residence after someone saw Barbier inhaling Propane. Officers located Barbier passed out in a shed after speaking with officers he admitted to huffing propane. Barbier was placed under arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.
Curtis Ray, 30 years of age, Duke St. Morgan City, LA was arrested on 09/27/2019 at 1:45 pm
Charges: Possession with the Intent to Distribute Sch I-Marijuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Violation of Uniformed CDS Law-Drug Free Zone
Transactions involving proceeds from CDS Activity
Detectives served a search warrant at a Duke St. residence. Ray was located at the residence. Ray was arrested after Detectives located suspected marijuana which was packaged for sale along with suspected Paraphernalia. Ray was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.
Wingler Garcia-Pinto, 22 years of age, Coach Ct. Houma, LA was arrested on 09/28/2019 at 7:001 pm
Charges: Speeding
No Drivers License
An officer on US Hwy 90 clocked a vehicle traveling at 82 mph in a 70 mph zone and stopped the driver. Upon speaking with the driver it was learned that he did not have a drivers license. Garcia-Pinto was placed under arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.
Epigmenio Garcia-Sedano, 55 years of age, Plant Rd Houma, LA was arrested on 09/29/2019 at 12:20 am
Charge: No Drivers License
An officer saw a vehicle strike a curb while making a turn. The officer stopped the driver and spoke with him to make sure he was not impaired. During the stop, the officer learned that the driver Garcia-Sedano did not have a drivers license. Garcia-Sedano was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department Jail for booking.

Warrant-City Court of Morgan City-Resisting an Officer
Officers were called to the area of Hwy 90 and MLK Blvd due to a reckless driver. The officer was given a description of the vehicle and located it on Hwy 90. The officer stopped the driver after a short time and found that he had warrants from the City Court of Morgan City. The officer also located during the stop suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia. Suire was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booing.

An officer on Hwy 182 saw a vehicle disregard a red traffic signal. The officer stopped the driver and learned that he did not have a drivers license. The driver Cristobal Chilisna was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.
