MCPD Arrest Report 11/6/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 32 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 11/5/2019:
Ashton K. Ainsworth, 29 years of age, Address-North Holly Road, Labadieville, La. was arrested on 11/5/2019 @ 11:36 A.M.
Charge: Aggravated Battery
Possession of Schedule II-Methamphetamine
Possession of Marijuana- (1st. Offense)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Violation of Unform CDS Drug- Free Zone
Officers of the Morgan City Police Department were called to a medical facility on Marguerite St. in reference to a disturbance involving a weapon. The caller was able to give a description of the subject armed with a knife. Officers arrived on the scene and located Ashton K Ainsworth matching the description. He was found in possession of a knife and was detained for further investigation. Officers learned Ainsworth was involved in a domestic disturbance and produced a knife and during the argument cutting a victim on the hand. Ainsworth was placed under arrest. During the arrest process, he was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Ainsworth was with in a posted drug-free zone. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Raul Miguel Navarez, 57 years of age, Address-Roderick St., Morgan City, La., was placed under arrest on 11/5/2019 @ 12:05 P.M.
Warrant-Aggravated Battery
The warrant stem from a complaint filed with the Morgan City Police Department on October 28, 2019. The victim advised Raul Navarez committed a battery on them while armed with a knife. A warrant was obtained for his arrest. Ruiz was located at the Morgan City Police Department and placed under arrest. He was booked and incarcerated.
Gregory Pual Arceneaux, 30 years of age, Address-River Road., Berwick, La., was arrested on 11/5/2019 @ 3:23 P.M.
Charge: Theft under $1,000.00
Possession of Schedule II-Methamphetamine
Officers were called to a local business on Highway 182 in reference to a shoplifter. Upon officers arriving, store employes identified Gregory Arceneaux as the person shoplifting. Officers were informed he exited the store and walked to a vehicle in the parking lot. Officers detained Arceneux and during the investigation, it was learned he had stolen numerous times valued at $191.13. During his arrest, he was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Shane Anthony Orgeron, 47 years of age, Address-General Hodges, Morgan City, La., was arrested on 11/5/2019 @ 10:00 P.M.
Warrant: Disturbing the Peace Fighting
The warrant stem from a complaint filed with the Morgan City Police Department on October 31, 2019. The Morgan City Police Department investigated a complaint of two individuals involved in a fistic encounter. Upon the completion of the officer's investigation, a warrant was obtained for the arrest of Orgeron.
On 11/5/2019 Orgeron turned himself into the Morgan City Police Department. He was booked and incarcerated.
