MCPD Arrest Report 11/25/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 120 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 11/22/2019:
Robert J. Ballance, 36 years of age, Address- Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/22/2019 @ 10:26 am.
Charge: Warrant- Access Device Fraud- under $1,000.00
Robert Ballance was transported from the Elayn Hunt Correctional Center to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held. The warrant stems from an incident in May that alleged Ballance had stolen a debit card and made unauthorized purchases. Ballance was booked and incarcerated.
Ty’Jana Francois, 18 years of age, Address- Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/22/2019 @ 11:30 am.
Charge: Warrant- Disturbing the Peace Fighting
Ty’Jana Francois was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant held by the department. The warrant stems from an incident in November that alleges Francois’ involvement in a fistic encounter. Francois was booked and incarcerated.
Alex Francois, 41 years of age, Address- Fifth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/22/2019 @ 6:07 pm.
Charge: Warrant- Distribution of Sch II CDS- Crack Cocaine
Warrant- Violation of Uniform CDS Law- Drug Free Zone
Alex Francois was located on LA 70 and placed under arrest for active warrants he held for the Morgan City Police Department. Francois was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Kizmet Gant, 38 years of age, Address- Wren St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/23/2019 @ 12:45 pm.
Charge: Warrant- Principle to Disturbing the Peace Fighting
Warrant- Improper Supervision of a Minor by a Parent
Kizmet Gant was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for active warrant. The warrants stem from an incident in November that alleges Gant’s involvement in a fistic encounter. Gant was booked and incarcerated.
Rachel L. King, 35 years of age, Address- Fifth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/23/2019 @ 3:52 pm.
Charge: Warrant- Failure to Pay Fines (2cts)
Rachel King was located on Hwy 182 near Brashear Ave. and placed under arrest for active warrants she held for the City Court of Morgan City. King transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Shane E. Richard, 25 years of age, Address- Gabriel St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 11/23/2019 @ 10:55 pm.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Battery on a Police Officer
Criminal Damage to Property- less than $1,000.00
Officers responded to a residence on Hwy 182 in regard to a disturbance. When officers arrived, witnesses identified Shane Richard as the one causing the disturbance. Reports indicate when officers made contact with Richard, he became combative and struck one of the officers. Richard was subdued, placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Juan Olvera-Rubio, 34 years of age, Address- Magnolia St. Amelia, La. was arrested on 11/24/2019 @ 2:48 am.
Charge: Driver must be Licensed
Use of Multiple Beam Road Lighting Equipment
An officer observed a traffic violation on a vehicle in the area of Hwy 182 near Eleventh St. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Juan Olvera-Rubio was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that Rubio admitted that he did not have a driver’s license. Rubio was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
