Derrick James Leonard, 41 years of age, Address-Freret St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 12/2/2019 @ 02:00 A.M.

Careless Operation of a Vehicle
Officers investigating a hit and run accident located the suspect vehicle in the area of Levee Rd. The driver was identified as Derrick James Leonard. Investigating officers were able to identify the vehicle from damage and debris from the scene of the accident. Leonard was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
