MCPD Arrest Report 12/13/2019
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 40 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 12/12/2019:
Baine Michael Ledet, 29 years of age, Address-Louisa St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 12/12/2019 at 9:43 A.M.
Charge: Second Degree Robbery
Perpetration or Attempted Perpetration of Certain Crimes of
Violence Against A Person 65 Years or Older
Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)
Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Officers were called to a local business on Victor to investigate a purse snatching. When officers arrived, they learned a good samaritan had detained the suspect until police arrived. The suspect was identified as Blaine M Ledet. Investigating officers learned from witnesses, Ledet had tackled the victim down to the ground and stole her purse. As Ledet fled the area on foot, a good samaritan was able to tackle and detain him until officers arrived. During his arrest, officers located suspected marijuana in his possession and appeared intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Ashton Allen, 28 years of age, Address-Ehrlich St., Berwick, La., was arrested on 12/12/2019 at 10:04 A.M.
Warrant: Disturbing the Peace Fighting
Failure to Appear
Ashton Allen was located at the Berwick Police Department and placed under arrest on outstanding warrants held by the Morgan City Police Department. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department and for booking and incarceration.
Joseph Anthony Acosta, 27 years of age, Address-Grove St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 12/12/2019 at 10:10 A.M.

Officers came into contact with Joseph A. Acosta in the area of Victor II Blvd. A warrants check revealed the St. Mary Sherrif's Office an active warrant for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Jonte Killough, 21 years of age, Address-Wedell St., Patterson, La., was arrested on 12/12/2019 at 12:13 P.M.
Warrant: Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute
Jonte Killough was located at the Madison Parish Detention Center and was placed under arrest on an active warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Jason Paul Cavalier Jr., 44 years of age, Address-Hilda St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 12/13/2019 at 12:47 A.M.
