MCPD Arrest Report for 1/2/2020
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 48-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 65 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 12/31/2019:
Dena Melann LeBouef, 43 years of age, Address-Federal Ave., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 12/31/2019 at 6:53 P.M.
Charge: Theft under $1,000.00
Officers were called to a local business on Seventh St. about a theft. Upon officers arriving, they were advised Dena Lebouef had concealed several items of merchandise in her purse while in the business. When LeBouef was confronted by a store employee, she left the store. Officers were able to locate LeBouef at her residence on Federal Ave. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Shanae Dowsey, 30 years of age, Address-Wren St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 1/1/2020 at 8:56 P.M.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace
Officers were called to a Mallard St. residence for a disturbance. When police arrived, they learned Shanae Dowsey came to the residence and caused a disturbance. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Madison Evelyn Mehrtens, 7408 HWY 182, Morgan City, La., was arrested on 1/1/2020 at 7:48 P.M.
Warrants: Failure to Appear (2 counts)
Madison Evelyn Mehrtens was turned over to the Morgan City Police Department by a bail fugitive recovery agency on active warrants held by the City City of Morgan City. She was booked and incarcerated.
Pamela Ann Francois, 47 years of age, Address-Federal Ave., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 1/1/2020 at 10:01 P.M.
Charge: Driving Under Suspension
Warrant: Failure to Return Lease Merchandise over $1,000.00
An officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop in the area of Sixth St. and Freret St. for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, a computer check revealed her driver's license was under suspension. A warrant check revealed the Morgan City Police Department held active warrants for her arrest. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
