MCPD Arrest Report 2/3/2020
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 36-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 90 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 01/31/2020:
Chad Ross Jr., 26 years of age, Address- 1708 East Garner St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 1/31/2020 at 2:59 A.M.

Candice Ross, 33 years of age, Address-1708 East Garner St., Morgan City City, La., was arrested on 1/31/2020 at 2:59 A.M.

Bethany Mecon, 27 years of age, Lucy St., Patterson, La., was arrested on 1/31/2020 at 2:59 A.M.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana under 14 grams
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
On 1/31/2020 Officers with the Morgan City Police Department executed a search warrant at a motel located on Highway 182. During the execution of the search warrant, officers came into contact with Chad Ross Jr., Candise Ross, and Bethany Mecon. Chad Ross Jr. and Candice Ross were found in possession of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana that was suspected to be distributed in the Morgan City area. Chad Ross was found in possession of two firearms. A computer check revealed he was a convicted felon. Upon further inspection of the firearms, officers noticed one of the firearms did not have a serial. Chad Ross Jr. was additionally charged with firearm violations. Officers also located suspected drug paraphernalia in Chad Ross Jr. and Candise Ross possession. Officers located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia in Bethany Mecon possession. All three were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Charmine Louise Cotton, 35 years of age, Address-Engerson St., Houma, La., was arrested on 1/31/2020 at 10:15 A.M.
Charge: Simple Battery
Charmine L. Cotton who was already an inmate at the Morgan City Police Department struck another inmate while incarcerated. She was placed under arrest for the simple battery and reincarcerated.
Jacolbi Jaron Francois, 22 years of age, Address-Cypress St., Morgan City, La., was placed under arrest on 1/31/2020 at 9:49 P.M.
Charge: Failure to Appear
Officers came into Jacolbi Francois while investigating a crash on U.S. 90. A warrants check revealed the 16th District Court held an active warrant for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Jennifer Lee Sauce, 42 years of age, Address-Canal St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/1/2020 at 1:00 A.M.
Warrants: Failure to Appear (2 Counts)
Officers were called to a disturbance on Highway LA 70. Upon officer's arrival, they came into contact with Jennifer Sauce. A computer check revealed the City Court of Morgan City held active warrants for her arrest. She as placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Charles Bilkey, 61 years of age, Address-Carol Road, Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/1/2020 at 9:50 A.M.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Resisting an Officer
Officers were called to a local business on Highway 182 about a disturbance. Upon officer's arrival, they came into contact with Charles Bilkey. He was identified by management as the person who was causing the disturbance. Officers observed Bilkey was in an intoxicated condition and continued to cause a disturbed while officers were on scene. Officers attempted to arrest Bilkey but he pulled away from the officers. He was handcuffed and placed under arrest. He was transported to the Morgan City Department for booking and incarceration.
Aarron M Dugas, 22 years of age, Address-Bayou Drive, Pierre Part, La. was arrest on 2/2/2020 at 2:21 A.M.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace Fighting
Jacob T. Dugas, 33 years of age, Address-Bayou Drive, Pierre Part, La., was arrested on 2/2/2020 at 2:21 A.M.
Charge: Simple Battery
Officers were dispatched to a local business on Highway 182 about a fight. Upon the officer's arrival, they located a person lying on the ground with injuries to their head and face. During the officer's investigation, it was learned the victim with injuries had confronted Aaron Dugas. Aaron stuck the individual knocking him to the ground. The fall caused the victim to hit his head on the concrete, knocking him unconscious. While the individual was lying unconscious another individual, Jacob Dugas, struck the victim several times in the face. Both, Aaron Dugas and Jacob Dugas were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. The victim was transported to a medical facility for treatment.
Chasity Katrina Butler, 40 years of age, Address Williams St., Patterson, La., was arrested on 2/2/2020 at 12:15 P.M.
Charge: Failure to Appear
Chasity K Butler was transferred from St. Mary Law Enforcement Center and booked on an active warrant held by the City Court of Morgan City. She as placed under arrest and booked into the Morgan City Police Department.
