MCPD Arrest Report 2/4/2020
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 42 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 2/3/2020:
Samantha Marie Williams, 31 years of age, Address-Highway 182, Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/3/2020 at 2:53 P.M.
Warrant: Disturbing the Peace
Samantha Marie Williams was located at the Berwick Police Department on an active warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Erica Lee Gaddy, 32 years of age, Address-Fig St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/3/2020 at 3:08 P.M.
Warrants: Failure to Appear (2 counts)
An officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on Levee Rd. The driver was identified as Erica L Gaddy. A warrants check revealed the City Court of Morgan City held active warrants for her arrest. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Ty Davis Rung, 22 years of age, Address-Lagniapee Road, Duson La., was arrested on 2/4/2020 at 12:39 A.M.
Charge: Turn Signal Violation
No Child Passenger Restraint
Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)
Illegal Use of CDS in the Presence of a Person-
under 17 years of age
An officer on patrol observed a traffic violation in the area of Front St. and Franklin. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Ty D. Rung. During the traffic stop, the officer observed several small children in the vehicle without a child restraint. Ty D. Rung was found in possession of suspected marijuana. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
