MCPD Arrest Report 2/17/2020
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 36-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 111 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 2/14/2020:
Quintin Dewayne Douglas, 28 years of age, Address-Tiffany St., Patterson, La., was arrested on 2/15/2020 at 12:04 A.M.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)
Officers were called to a local motel for a fire alarm. Upon officer's arrival, they came into contact with Quintin D. Douglas as he exited the room from where the fire alarm activation had occurred. During the investigation, officers detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the room. During the investigation, officers located suspected marijuana in Douglas possession. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Carl Keiffer, 48 years of age, Address-Parro Lane, Berwick, La., was arrested on 2/15/2020 at 3:24 A.M.
Charge: Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Speeding 64 MPH in a 30 MPH Zone
Improper Display of License Plate
Driving While Intoxicated (1st Offense)
Resisting an Officer
An officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Brashear Ave. The officer captured the vehicle speed at 64 miles per hour on the police unit's radar. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Carl Keiffer. During the traffic stop, the officer suspected driver impairment. A Field Sobriety Test was given and he did poorly on the test. When officers went to place Keiffer under arrest, he resisted officers. He was eventually placed in handcuffs and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the Morgan City Police Department, he was given an intoxilyzer test. He gave a breath sample of .190g %. He was booked and incarcerated at the Morgan City Police Department
Jason Ray Blake, 38 years of age, Address-Eraste Landry Road, Lafayette, La., was arrested on 2/15/2020 at 7:23 P.M.
Charge: Two Head Lights Required
Driving under Suspension
An officer observed a traffic violation in the area of Highway 182 and Myrtle St. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was identified as Jason R. Blake. A computer check revealed his license was under suspension. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Jordy Paul Rousse, 33 years of age, Adress- Joan Drive, Cutoff, La., was arrested on 2/15/2020 at 9:15 P.M.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Officers were called to the area of First St. and Railroad Ave. for a narcotics complaint. When officers arrived, they came into contact with Jordy P. Rousse. He was found in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Casey Alan Cruz, 20 years of age, Address-Versen St., Berwick, La., was arrested on 2/16/2020 at 10:12 P.M.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana (2nd Offense)
An officer observed a traffic violation in the area of Brashear Ave. and conducted a traffic stop. Casey Cruz was identified as a passenger in the vehicle. The officer detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. During the investigation, Cruze was found in possession of suspected marijuana. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
