MCPD Arrest Report 2/24/2020
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 36-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 121 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 2/21/2020:
Darell Jonic Gash, 39 years of age, Address-Willard St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/21/2020 at 8:13 A.M.
Charge: Remaining after Forbidden
Officers were called about Darell J Gash refusing to leave a residence on Mallard St. Upon officer's arrival, they were advised Gash had just left the residence. A computer check revealed Gash was previously barred from the property. Officers were able to locate Gash nearby and place him under arrest. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Anthony James Vega, 35 years of age, Address-Tannehill Lane, Walker, La., was arrested on 2/21/2020 at 10:24 A.M.

Monetary Instrument Abuse
Anthony J Vega was located at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and placed under arrest on an active warrant held the Morgan City Police Department. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Rogelio F. Fuentez. 34 years of age, Address-Highway 182, Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/21/2020 at 7:07 P.M.
Charge: Driving under Suspension
Officers investigating a crash on U.S. 90 identified Rogelia F. Fuentez as the driver of one of the vehicles involved. A computer check revealed his driver's license was under suspension. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Ronald Williams Jr., 27 years of age, Address-Poper Drive, Scott, La., was arrested on 2/21/2020 at 10:18 P.M.

Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle
No Vehicle Insurence
An officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 182 and U.S. 90. The driver was identified as Ronald Williams Jr. A computer check revealed his license was under suspension. He was also found to have an open alcoholic beverage in his vehicle. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Shaun Sikes, 36 years of age, Address-Hemlock St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/22/2020 at 1:52 A.M.
Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery
Officers were called to a local business on Brashear Ave. for a domestic battery. Upon officer's arrival, they learned Shaun Sikes had committed a battery on a victim which was domestic-related. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Kathryn Thompson, 25 years of age, Address-Keith St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/22/2020 at 8:24 A.M.
Warrant: Telephone Harassment
Kathryn Thompson turned herself into the Morgan City on an active warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. She was booked and incarcerated.
Vernon James Robinson Jr., 34 years of age, Address-Chennault St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/22/2020 at 11:42 A.M.

Ricky James Watts, 31 years of age, Address- Oregon St., Berwick, La., was arrested on 2/22/2020 at 4:15 P.M.
Warrant: No Driver's License
An officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the area of Sixth St. and Greenwood St. The vehicle failed to stop until it reached Everett St. The driver was identified as Christopher Woods, along with two passengers, Gilbert Harrison and Ricky Watts. During the course of the traffic investigation, Woods was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. A computer check revealed Woods did not have a valid driver's license.
Passenger, Gilbert Harrison, was found in possession of suspected marijuana, MDMA, and drug paraphernalia, which he attempted to conceal on his person.
Passenger, Ricky Watts, was found to have an active warrant held by the City Court of Morgan City. Christopher Woods, Gilbert Harrison, and Ricky Watts were placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Alexander Perez, 47 years of age, Address-Highway 182, Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/23/2020 2:48 A.M.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace intoxicated
Officers came into contact with Alexander Perez at a local business on Highway 182. Officers observed Perez was in an intoxicated condition and was in possession of an open alcoholic beverage. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
John Rollins Anslum, 32 years of age, Address-Felterman Lane, Patterson, La., was arrested on 2/23/2020 at 2:19 P.M.

An officer conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as John Rollins. A computer check revealed Anslum driver's license was under suspension. During the traffic investigation, Anslum was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Two juveniles were in the vehicle at the time of the stop resulting in an additional charge. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Freddie Joseph Sellers, 29 years of age, Address-Keith St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/23/2020 at 5:22 P.M.
Charge: Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)

An officer came into contact with Freddie Sellers in a parking lot on Highway 182. A warrant check revealed with 16th District Court held an active warrant for his arrest. Officers placed Sellers under arrest and found suspected marijuana in his possession. During the investigation, a K-9 Officer and K-9 Dally arrived on the scene to assist in the investigation. K-9 Dally was deployed around the exterior of Sellers' vehicle and indicated for the presence of illegal narcotics. Officers located a bag of suspected marijuana in the vehicle. Sellers was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
