Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 45-calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 9/14/2020
abel garza
Abel Diller Garza Jr., 30 years of age, Address-Carmen St., Patterson, La., was arrested on 9/14/2020 at 10:08 A.M.

Charge:
Signal Lamps and Signal Devices
Driving with a Suspended Driver's License
Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Warrant:
Failure to Appear

A K-9 Officer with the Morgan City Police Department conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation in the area of Martin Luther King Blvd. The driver was identified as Abel Keller Garza Jr. A computer check revealed his driver's license was under suspension, and the16th District Court held an active warrant for his arrest. The officer detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle and deployed his K-9 partner (K-9 Dally) around the exterior of the vehicle. K-9 Dally gave an odor response to the presence of illegal narcotics in the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle the officer discovered suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jeremy Eugene Davis, 39 years of age, Address-Third St., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 9/14/2020 at 11:23 A.M.

Charge:
Domestic Abuse Battery

Officers were called to an address on Allison St. for a domestic disturbance. Upon the officer's arrival, they learned Jeremy Davis had committed a battery on a household member. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and inceration.

Sontee Randle, 27 years of age, Address-Federal Ave., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 9/14/2020 at 4:25 P.M.

Charge:
Illegal use of a Weapon or Dangerous Instrumentalities

Officers were called to the area of Everett St. and Fifth St. to investigate reports of gunshots being fired in the area. Responding officers were given a description of a vehicle leaving the area that was involved. Officers located the vehicle in the area of Federal Ave. and General McArthur St. and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Sontee Randle. During the investigation, it was learned Randle was involved in a verbal dispute in the area of Everette St. and Fifth St. when he discharged a firearm toward the ground. The firearm was located in his vehicle and he was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Donna Marie Comeaux, 61 years of age, Address-Ninth St., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 9/14/2020 at 5:00 P.M.

Warrant:
Theft beween $5,000.00 and $25,000.00

Officers located Donna Marie Comeaux in the area of Railroad Ave and place her under arrest on an outstanding warrant held the St. Mary Sheriff's Office. She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Tyler Jermaine Sylvester, 21 years of age, Address-Versa St., Berwick, LA., was arrested on 9/14/2020 at 5:05 P.M.

Brandy Skinner
Brandy Skinner, 24 years of age, Address-Wren St., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 9/14/2020 at 7:05 P.M.

Aggravated Second Degree Battery
Domestic Abuse Battery (Felony)
Domestic Abuse Child-Endangerment Law

Officers were called a Wren St. address for a large domestic disturbance. Upon the officer's arrival, they identified the serval of the individuals involved. Tyler Sylvester and Brandy Skinner were several of the individuals involved and were placed under arrest. Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department is still currently investigating the matter and more arrest are expected.

Everg Ramos, 54 years of age, Address-Magnolia St., Amelia, LA., was arrested on 9/14/2020 at 8:21 P.M.

An officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation in the area of Highway 182. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Everg Ramos. A warrant check revealed the Morgan City Police Department held two separate warrants for domestic battery. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Zadre Devon Johnson, 27 years of age, Address-Egle St., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 9/14/2020 at 11:20 P.M.

Charge: Battery of a Dating Partner

Officers were called to an Egle St. address to investigate a domestic disturbance. Upon the officer's arrival, they learned Johnson had committed a battery on his dating partner. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
