MCPD Arrest Report 9/29/2020
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 55-calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 9/28/2020.
Wendy Gros, 27 years of age, Address-Four Mile Bayou Road, Stephensville, LA., was arrested on 9/28/2020 at 1:47 P.M.

Wendy Gros turned herself into the Morgan City Police Department on an active warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. She was booked and incarcerated.
Sheresa M. Bill, 31 years of age, Address-First St., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 9/28/2020 at 6:31 P.M.

Violation of Uniform CDS Law-Drug Free Zone
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of Firearm with Obliterated Serial Numbers
Possession an Unregistered Firearm- Illegally Modified Short Barrel
Illegal Use of CDS in the Presence of a Person under 17
Possession of Firearm in the Presence of CDS
Transactions involving Proceeds from CDS Activity
Officers were called to a First St. address for an animal cruelty complaint. Upon the officer's arrival, they observed several marijuana plants on the window ledge inside the residence. Narcotics Detectives were called to the scene and obtained a search warrant for the address. Upon serving the search warrant investigators located Sheresa Bill inside the residence with several small children. Officers located four suspected marijuana plants, marijuana, drug paraphrenia, and several guns of which one of the firearms had the serial numbers obliterated and a shotgun that had been illegally modified. Investigators also located a large sum of money believed to be proceeds of the sales of illegal narcotics. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. The cruelty to an animal complaint is still under investigation with charges pending.
