MCPD Arrest Report 1/5/2021
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 40-calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 1/4/2021
Jeffery Lee Williams, 30 years of age, Address-North Bayou Black Dr., Gibson, LA., was arrested on 1/4/2021 at 1:13 P.M.

Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS 11-28 grams or over-Methamphetamine
An officer on patrol observed a traffic violation in the area of Marguerite St. and Sixth. The officer conducted a traffic stop and came into contact with the driver, and passenger, Jeffery L. Williams. During the traffic stop, an officer observed Williams concealing a large bag of suspected methamphetamine on his person. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Patrick Anthony Wright, 62 years of age, Address-Levee Rd., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 1/4/2021 at 3:49 P.M.

Illegal Possession of Stlone Firearm
Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana
Officers were called to the area of Levee Rd. to investigate a disturbance involving a firearm. Upon the officer's arrival, they learned Patrick A. Wright was involved in the disturbance. During the investigation, the officer discovered Wright was in possession of a stolen firearm and suspected marijuana. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Charles Earl Beverly, 28 years of age, Address-Willow St., Franklin, LA., was arrested on 1/4/2021 at 2:22 P.M.

Charles Beverly was located at the New Iberia Parish Detention Center and placed under arrest on active warrants held by the City Court of Morgan City. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Ashley Nicole Clark, 36 years of age, Address-Grandwood Dr., Patterson, LA., was arrested on 1/4/2021 at 2:51 P.M.

Possession of Stolen Things under $1,000.00
An officer observed a traffic violation on Marquerite St. and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Ashley N. Clark. A computer revealed the license plate displayed on the vehicle was stolen and the vehicle was not insured. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Celeste Cortez, 31 years of age, Address-Union St., Morgan City, LA., was arrested on 1/4/2021 at 10:35 P.M.

Disturbing the Peace
Officers were called to a Union St. address for an individual causing a disturbance. Upon the officer's arrival, they learned Celeste Cortez was involved in the disturbance. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
