MCPD Arrest Report 03/20/2015

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 03/20/2015:


Randall Lejeune, 53 yeas of age, Address-Southeast Blvd, Morgan City,La. was arrested on 03/19/2015 @ 9:20 am

Charge: Warrant-Failure to pay fine
     Randell Lejeune, who was already incarcerated in the Morgan City Police Department jail facility was arrested on warrant from the Sixth Ward City Court of Morgan City.  Lejeune was booked and remains incarcerated.

Ben Box, 25 years of age, Caleb Lane, Centerville,La. was arrested on 03/19/2015 @ 11:33 am.


Charges: Possession of a Firearm in the presence of CDS
                 Possession of Sch I CDS-Synthetic Marijuana
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia


     Officers responded to a complaint at a Hwy 182 business about a male subject sleeping in a vehicle.  Officers were able to wake the driver, identified as Ben Box.  During the encounter, officers located a .22 cal handgun inside the vehicle along with what appeared to be an alligator cut into pieces in the rear of the vehicle.  During the investigation, officers also located a Schedule I CDS-Synthetic Marijuana.  Box was placed under arrest.  The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries was summoned to investigate the game violation.  Box was cited by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries agent for possession of the alligator.  Ben Box was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and remains incarcerated.

Shamus Dardeau, 39 years of age, Address-Clark Road, Morgan City,La. was arrested on 03/19/2015 @ 3:22 pm


Charges: Warrant-Failure to appear to pay fine


Shamus Dardeau was arrested by officer in the Sixth Ward City Court of Morgan City.  Dardeau was booked into the Morgan City Police Department jail facility on warrants from the Sixth Ward City Court of Morgan City. Dardeau was escorted to the Morgan City Police Department's jail facility where he was booked and remains incarcerated.

Ameedah Charles, 30 yeas of age, Address-Short St. Morgan City,La. was arrested on 03/19/2015 @ 4:55 pm


Charges: Warrant Failure to pay fines
                 Warrant-Contempt of Court
     Ameedah Charles was located in the Sixth Ward Court of Morgan City and placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for that court.  Charles was escorted to the Morgan City Police Department's jail facility where she was booked. She was later released after posting a cash bond.
