The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 03/23/2015:


George E. Patin Jr,, 52 years of age, Address-Highway 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/23/2015 @ 11:20am

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear-No Drivers LIcense
               Warrant: Failure to Appear-Disturbing the Peace by Fighting
               Warrant: Failure to Appear-Open Container
               Warrant: Failure to Appear-Improper Display of a License Plate

     George E. Patin Jr. was located at a Highway 182 apartment complex and placed under arrest on several outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward Court of Morgan City.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police jail facility where he remains incarcerated. 

Leeroy E. Guilliot, 34 years of age, Address-Belle Rose, La. was arrested on 03/23/2015 @ 11:56am

Charge: Warrant: Assumption Parish-Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense

     Leeroy E. Guilliot was located at the Morgan City Police Department and placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for Assumption Parish authorities.  He was booked and incarcerated.

Gerard D. Deshotel, 44 years of age, Address-Highway 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/23/2015 @ 9:46pm

Charge: Warrant: Issuing Worthless Checks
                Warrant: Failure to Appear-Disturbing the Peace by Fighting-St. Mary Parish

     Officers located Gerard D. Deshotel at a Highway 182 apartment complex and placed him under arrest on an outstanding warrant dated 1996 accusing Deshotel of issuing worthless checks in the amount of $38.98 to a local business.  Deshotel was also found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for the Sixteenth Judicial District Court for failing to appear in court.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Ambria A. Vidos, 18 years of age, Address-Village Lane Morgan City, La.was arrested on 03/24/2015 @ 3:52am

Charge: Principal to  Hit & Run Driving

     Officers responded to a Hit & Run vehicle crash which was reported at a local business located on Highway 182.  Officers learned that a vehicle had struck another in the parking lot and had fled the scene.  During the investigation, officers located the suspect vehicle along with the suspected driver, Robert Gussman III and a passenger, Ambria Vidos.  Officers questioned the pair regarding their involvment in the vehicle crash,  however both denied involvement and refused to cooperate.  Ambria Vidos, the reported passenger in the vehicle attempted to impede the investigation by providing false information however, when confronted with other evidence, admitted to officers that she was indeed a passenger in the vehicle.  Robert Gussman, who was identified as the driver along with Vidos were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

Scarlett Burkart, 33 years of age, Address-First St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/24/2015 @ 5:12am

     Officers responded to a Highway 182 convenience store in regards to a fight.  Officers arrived and learned that two females, Lia Lipari and Scarlett Burkart had been involved in a verbal dispute which led to a physical altercation.  The confrontation caused customers to alert store employees who then reported the incident to the Morgan City Police Department.  Burkart and Lipari where both arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerted.
