MCPD Arrest Report 04/15/2015

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 04/14/2015:


Stephen Barbour, 29 years of age, Address-Jones St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 04/14/2015 @ 1:59am

Charge: Simple Criminal Damage to Property

  
     Officers responded to a complaint of damage to property at a residence in the 7100 block of Highway 182.  Officers arrived and in their investigation learned that a male subject, Stephen Barbour was suspected of breaking a window at that residence then leaving the scene.  Officers searched the area and subsequently located Barbour and through their investigation, obtained evidence linking Barbour with the damage.  Barbour was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. He was later released after posting a cash bond.

Francis M. Duplechin, 34 years of age, Address-Pine Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/14/2015 @ 2:46am

Charge: Appearing in Public in an Intoxicated Condition

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Myrtle St. and Highway 182 in regards to a disturbance.  Officers arrived and located a female, Francis Duplechin in an impaired condition.  Duplechin, who appeared highly intoxicated and was accused of causing the disturbance was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.  She was later released after posting a cash bond.

Brian K. Kelly, 50 years of age, Address-Grace St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/14/2015 @ 6:43am

Charge: No Headlights
               Driving Under Suspension

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling on Highway 182 near Redwood without proper headlights.  The officer stopped the vehicle to speak with the driver identified as Brian Kelly.  Kelly was discovered to be operating a vehicle with a supended drivers license and was subsequently placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.  He was later released after posting a cash bond.

Robert J. Gussman Jr., 42 years of age, Address-Bush St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/14/2015 @ 5:15am

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine
               Warrant: Failure to Pay Restitution
               Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine-Disturbing the Peace; Contempt of Court
               Warrant: Failure to Pay Probation Fees
               Warrant: Failure to Appear for Arraignment

     Robert Gussman Jr. was located at the Morgan City Police Department and placed under arrest on outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward Court of Morgan City.  Gussman was booked and incarcerated.
