MCPD Arrest Report 04/30/2015

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan  City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 04/29/2015:


Artesha S. Oliney, 28 years of age, Address- Shannon St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/29/2015 @ 2:16 pm


Charges:  Warrant: Identity Theft (27 Counts) (Totally $1, 678.00)

     The Morgan City Police Department Detective Division conducted an investigation in regards to Identity Theft.  According to reports, Artesha S. Oliney had gained  back account information and was making unauthorized purchases on the account totalling $1, 678.00.  Oliney was located at her residence, placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

Riley J. Dixion, 25 years of age, Address-Glenwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/30/2015 @ 12:19 am.


Charges:  Domestic Abuse Battery

     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Glenwood St. in regards to a disturbance.  When officers arrived, they spoke to the vicitm that stated she and her boyfriend, Riley Dixion had gotten into a verbal altercation, which later turned physical.  The vicitm showed officers an abbrasion on her arm that she claims was done by Dixion.  Officers were able to locate Dixion in the residence and he did admit to getting into an altercation with the victim.  Dixion was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Kaylee Payne, 19 years of age, Address-Glenwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/30/2015 @ 1:57 am.

     Officers were dispatched to residence on Glenwood St. in regards to a disturbance.  According to reports, when officers arrived they noticed, Kaylee Payne strike a female. Payne was then detained, so that officers could speak to the victim. The victim stated that she and Payne had gotten into a verbal alteration, in which Payne later began to strike her.  Payne was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
