MCPD Arrest Report 05/20/2015

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 05/19/2015:


Fabiola Quintanilla, 23 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/19/2015 @ 9:52 am.


Charge:  Expired MVI Sticker
                Driving Under Suspension
                Warrant- Improper Backing

     A patrolling officer in the area of Levee Rd. observed a vehicle with an expired motor vehicle inspection sticker.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Fabiola Quintanilla was asked to produce a valid driver's license.  A computer check on Quintanilla's license was done and it was determined that her driver's license was under suspension. Quintanilla also held an active warrant for the Sixth Ward City Court.  Quintanilla was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Gerald Jones, 40 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/19/2015 @ 12:00 pm.


Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Probation Fee

     Gerald Jones was already incarcerated at the Morgan City Police Department Jail, when an active warrant from the Sixth Ward City Court was filed.  Jones was booked and continues to be incarcerated.

Angela Curtis, 28 years of age, Address- Chauvin St. Franklin, La. was arrested on 05/19/2015 @ 1:30 pm.


Charge: Warrant- Failure to Pay Fines and Probation Fees
                Warrant-Failure to Appear Comply Drug Court (3cts)

    Angela Curtis turned herself into the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants held for the 16th Judical Court (Drug Court). Curtis also had active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. Curtis was booked and incarcerated.

Rene Landry, 56 years of age, Address- Brashear Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/19/2015 @ 11:32 pm. 


Charge: Possession of Sch l CDS Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
               Transactioms Involving Proceeds from CDS Activity
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
               Violation of Uniform Controled Dangerous Substance Law (Drug Free Zone)
               Possession of Firearms in the Presence of CDS

Cynthia Daigle, 48 years of age, Address- Brashear Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/19/2015 @ 11:32 pm.


Charge: Possession of Sch l Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
               Violation of Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substance Law (Drug Free Zone)

Valane Villarreal, 48 years of age, Address-Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/19/2015 @ 11:32 pm.


Charge: Possession of Sch l Marijuana
               Violation of Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substance Law (Drug Free Zone)

     The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division along with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division excuted a search warrant on a Brashear Ave. residence. When officers entered the residence they located Rene Landry, Valane Villarreal and Cynthia Daigle. Landry and Daigle stated that they both lived at the residence.  While there officers located a large amount of suspected marijuana in the residence and items used to smoke and package marijuana.  According to reports, Villarreal stated that she had come to the residence to purchase mariijuana. Officers located several firearms and currency associated with the sell of illegal narcotics.  All subjects were charged with the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substance Law (Drug Free Zone) because the residence is within 2000 feet of a elementary school.  All subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
