MCPD Arrest Report 07/03/2015

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 07/02/2015:


Johnny Reyes, 35 years of age, Address-Breaux Bridge, La. was arrested on 07/02/2015 @ 8:48 am.


Charge:  Failure to Appear (4cts)

    Johnny Reyes was transported from the Law Enforcement Center in Centerville, La. to the Morgan City Police Department for outstanding warrants he held for the Sixth Ward City Court.  Reyes was booked and incarcerated.

Dicie Fulks, 31 years of age, Address-Hasley St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/02/2015 @ 2:00 pm.


Charge:  Direct Contempt of Court

     Dicie Fulks was placed under arrest in the City Court of Morgan City, due to her disrupting court proceeding.  Fulks was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Christina A, Breaux, 22 years of age, Address-Diane Ln. Patterson, La. was arrested on 07/02/2015 @ 3:10 pm.


Charge:  Failure to Appear (2cts)

     Christina A. Breaux was transported from the Law Enforcement Center in Centerville, La. to the Morgan City Police Department for outstanding warrants she held for the Sixth Ward City Court. Breaux was booked and incarcerated.

Kristy L. Poindexter, 29 years of age, Address-Polk St. Houma, La. was arrested on 07/02/2015 @ 9:56 pm.


Charge:  Improper Lane Usage
                License Plate Lamp
                Driving Under Suspension

     A patrol officer in the area of Hwy 70 and Lakewood Dr., observed a vehicle with improper lighting.  The officer stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver, Kristy Poindexter was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check determined that Poindexter's driver's license was under suspension. Poindexter was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Darius D. Grogan, 21 years of age, Address-Patterson, La. was arrested on 07/03/2015 @ 12:25 am.


Charge:  Possession of Sch I Marijuana (2nd offense)
                Violation of Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substance Law
                 Illegal Use of Controlled Drug in  Presence of Persons Under 17 yrs old
                 Possession of Drup Paraphernalia

Charleston Grogan, 20 years of age, Address-Wren St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/03/2015 @ 12:25 am.

                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                Violation of Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substance Law
                Illegal Use of Controlled Drug in Presence of Persons under 17 yrs old

Traylon A. Grogan, 23 years of age, Address-Wren St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/03/2015
@ 12:25 am.


Charge:  Possession of Sch I Marijuana
                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                Violation of Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substance Law
                Illegal Use of Controlled Drug in the Presence of Persons under 17 yrs of age

    The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division were dispatched to the Brownell Homes area in regards to subjects in a vehicle smoking illegal narcotics.  Officers located the vehicle described on Wren St. Inside the vehicle were Darius Grogan, Charleston Grogan and Traylon Grogan.  Also in the vehicle were two juveniles ages four and five.   All subjects were asked to exit the vehicle.  During the course of the investigation, officers located in the vehicle suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Darius, Charlston and Traylon Grogan were all placed under arrest. The juveniles were turn over to a relative.  Subjects were transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Kedesha Scott, 20 years of age, Address-Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/03/2015 @ 1:29 am.


Charge:  Possession of Sch I Marijuana (2nd Offense)
               Failure to Appear (3cts)

     Kedesha Scott was located in the Fifth St. area. A local warrants check was done on Scott and it was determined that she held outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court.  Scott also had suspected marijuana in her possession. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
