Cory D. Sims, 37 years of age, Address-Lake Charles, La. was arrested on 08/27/2015 @ 3:06 pm.

    Cory Sims was placed under arrest in the City Court of Morgan City for outstanding warrants he held for the Sixth Ward City Cout. Sims was transported to the Morgan City Polce Department for booking and incarceration. 

Wade N. White, 22 years of age, Address-Oil Tank Ally Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/27/2015 @ 3:54 pm.


Charge:  Warrant- Failure to Appear (3cts)

     Wade White was placed under arrest in the City Court of Morgan for outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. White was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 

Melanie Rink, 41 years of age, Address- Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/27/2015 @ 6:17 pm.


Charge:  Warrant- Unauthorized Use of an Access Card

    Melanie Rink was already incarcerated at the Morgan City Jail Facility and was booked on an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from a complaint on August 7, 2015, which alleges Rink made unauthorized transactions on a debit card totaling $1500.00. Rink remains incarcerated. 

Roberto Solis, 55 years of age, Address-Shaw Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/28/2015 @ 1:27 am.

                Switched License Plates
                No Insurance
                Resisting an Officer by False Information

     A patrol officer observed a vehicle in the parking lot of a business on LA Hwy 182 with its headlights on and the vehicle appeared to have been damaged. As the officer approched, the driver, Roberto Solis appeared to be intoxicated.  The officer could also smell a odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath.  Solis was asked to perform the standardized field soberty test, in which he performed poorly. Solis was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Solis was asked to submit to the chemical test for intoxication. Solis test revealed a .172 g% blood alcohol content. Solis was then charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. Solis had also given officers a false name prior to arrest. A warrant check determined that Solis held active warrant for the 16 Judicial District Court. Solis was booked and incarcerated.
