MCPD Arrest Report 09/30/2015

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Deptartment during the last reporting period beginning on 09/29/2015:


Gregory Williams, 66 years of age, Address: Franklin, La. was arrested on 09/29/2015 @ 9:23 A.M.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace

     An officer was dispastched to a local business on David Drive in regards to a disturbance. When the officer arrived, the officer was told by witnesses that Gregorey Williams was causing a disturabance and alarming customers inside the business. Officer made contact with Williams who was asked to calm down but refused.  Williams was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Deptartment where he was booked and incarcerated.

Leo D. Pellissier, 41 years of age, Address: Country Village Dr., Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/29/2015 @ 11:52 A.M.

Charge: Warrant for Hit and Run Driving

     Leo D. Pellissier turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department in regards to an active warrant held for his arrest. Pellisier was booked into the Morgan City  Police Deptartment and incarcerated.

Cherry L. Donati, 29 years of age, Address: Second Street, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/29/2015 @ 2:33 P.M.

Charges: Violation of Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substance Law
                 Possession of Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine)

     Officer obsreved a vehicle speeding on Federal Ave. within a school zone.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Cherry Donati.  Donati was asked to produce a valid drivers license.  Reports indicated that Donati was very nervous while speaking to the officers. During the course of the investigation, the officer got consent to search the vehicle and located suspected methamphetamine. Donati was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Dept. where she was booked and incarcerated.

Nicholas S. Case, 20 years of age, Address: Garner Dr., Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/30/2015 @ 3:43 A.M.


Charges: No Turn Signal
                 Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Law
                 Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (Hydrocodone)
     Officer observed a vehicle in the area of Maple Street that failed to utilize a turn signal. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Nicholas Case.  Case was asked to produce a valid drivers license. According to reports Case appeared to be nervous. Officer was given consent to search the vehicle when the officer located suspected marijuana and pills identified as hydrocodone. The location the traffic stop was conducted was near a local school which violates the uniformed controlled dangerous substance law making that area a drug free zone.  Case was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Dept. where he was booked and incarcerated.
