MCPD Arrest Report 10/08/2015

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last report period beginning 10/07/2015:  


Caffery J. Williams, 49 years of age, Address- Garber St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/07/2015 @ 11:40 am. 


Charge:  Probation Violation
                Warrant- Failure to Pay Fines (3cts)

     Caffery Williams was located on Garber St. A local warrants check was done on Williams and it was determined that he held active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. Williams was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 

Jose Victor, 29 years of age, Address- Houma, La. was arrested on 10/07/2015 @ 2:37 pm. 


Charge:  Driver Must Be Licensed
                Speeding (42 in posted 15)

     A patrol officer in the area of Federal Ave. and Wise St. obseved a vehicle going faster than the speed posted. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Jose Victor was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that Victor did not have a valid driver's license. Victor was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 

Patrick Augman, 41 years of age, Address-Como St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 10/07/2015 @ 3:30 pm. 


Charge:  Warrant- Theft under $750.00

     Patrick Augman was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held. Augman was booked and incarcerated. 

Wyatt D. Brown, 27 years of age, Address- Garber St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/07/2015 @ 4:30 pm. 


Charge: No turn signal
               Possession of Marijuana

     A patrol officer in the area of Garber St. and Levee Rd. observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal, while turning on to Levee Rd. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Wyatt Brown was asked to produce a valid driver's license. During the course of the investigation, the officer located suspected marijuana in Brown's possession.  Brown was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 

Darrell A. Orgeron, 45 years of age, Address- Second St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 10/07/2015 @ 8:10 pm. 


Charge:  Driving Under Suspension
                No Turn Signal

     A patrol officer in the area of Federal Ave. and Wise St. observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal, while turning on to Wise St. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Darrell Orgeron was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that Orgeron's driver license was suspended. Orgeron was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 

Jonathan K. Perry, 31 years of age, Address- N St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 10/07/2015 @ 9:17 pm. 


Charge:  Improper Lane Usage
               Possession of Sch IV CDS ( Alprazolam)
               Violation of Controlled Dangerous Substance Law
               Driving Under Suspension

Steven Butler, 30 years of age, Address-Tall Timbers Patterson, La. was arrested on 10/07/2015 @ 9:17 pm. 


Charge:  Possession of Sch I CDS (MDMA)
                Violation of Controlled Dangerous Substance Law

     The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division along with the St. Mary Parish Naroctics Division conducted a traffic stop on US Hwy 90 of a vehicle observed to be swerving in tne roadway. The driver, Jonathan Perry was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that Perry's driver's license was suspended. The passenger, Steven Butler was asked to exit the vehicle. Consent to search the vehicle was given and located inside the vehicle were pills identified as MDMA and Alprazolam.  Both Perry and Butler were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
