The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 11/04/2015:
Peter Grogan, 37 years of age, Address- Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/04/2015 @ 9:54 am.
Charge: Warrant- Theft of Goods Under $750.00
Peter E. Grogan
Peter Grogan was located at his residence and placed under arrest for an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. Grogan was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Edward J. Mills, 47 years of age, Address- Baton Rouge, La. was arrested on 1/04/2015 @ 10:42 am.
Charge: Warrant- Failure to Pay Probation Fee (2cts)

Edward Mills was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the Sixth Ward City Court. Mills was booked and incarcerated.
Marco Tapia, 25 years of age, Address- Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/04/2015 @ 2:36 pm.
Charge: Resisting an Officer by Giving False Informantion

A patrol officer in the area of Federal Ave. near Wise St. observed a vehicle going faster that the posted speed in a school zone. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Marco Tapia was asked to provide a valid driver's license. A computer check was done and revealed that Tapia did not have a driver's license nor did Tapia have valid car insurance. Tapia was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. During the booking process, it was determined that Tapia had given the officer a false name during the traffic stop. Tapia was then additionally charged with resisting by giving false information.
Michael P. Delaune, 35 years of age, Address- Egle St. Morgan City, La was arrested on 11/04/2015 @ 7:26 pm.
Charge: Warrant- Criminal Neglect of Family (St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office)
