MCPD Arrest report 11/13/2015

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department beginning 11/12/2015


Kumaravel Nadar, 45 years of age, Address-La Hwy 70 Morgan City,La. was arrested on 11/12/2015 @ 11:37 am


Charges: Improper Lighting
                Driving under Suspension 
                No Insurance
     An officer patrolling the area of Victor II Blvd observed a vehicle with no brake lights.  The officer conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Kumaravel Nadar.  Upon speaking the Nadar he could not produce a drivers license.  A computer check showed that Nadar driver's license was suspended and that his vehicle was not insured.  Nadar was asked admited to the officer that he knew his license was suspended.  Nadar was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Micah Soileau, 18 years of age, Address-Joey St Patterson,La. was arrested on 11/12/2015 @ 7:00 pm.


Charges: Warrant-Simple Burglary
                 Warrant-Illegal Possession of Stolen Things
     Micah Soileau was already incarcerated at the Morgan City Police Department Jail; he was booked on Warrants for Simple Burglary and Illegal Possession of Stolen Things.  The arrest comes after an investigation into a vehicle burglary in which a bag with a laptop computer and cash.

Joni Madison, 35 years of age, Address-Sydney Jo Lane, Berwick,La was arrested on 11/12/2015 @7:00 pm.


Charges: Probation Violation
                 Joni Madison was arrested at the Morgan City Police Department for warrants from the City Court of Morgan City for failing to comply with her probation.  Madison was booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail.

Cindy Sanders, 44 years of age, Address-Tall Timbers, Patterson,La, was arrested on 11/12/2015 @ 9:05 pm


Charges: Disturbing the Peace by Fighting
                 Warrant-FTA Criminal Neglect of Family



Christine Cantrell, 28 years of age, Address-Hwy 182 Morgan City,La was arrested on 11/12/2015 @ 9:05 pm


Charges: Disturbing the Peace by Fighting
                Resisting an Officer
                Possession of Cocaine
                Entering Contraband into a Penal Institution
     Officers were called to a lounge on Victor II Blvd due to a fight.  Upon officers arrival they learned that a fight took place between two female subject identified as Christine Cantrell and Cindy Sanders.  Officers spoke with both subjects who admitted that they were involved in a fight.  Officer placed both subjects under arrest at which time Cantrell began to attempt to pull away from officer attempting to place her in handcuffs.  After being transported to the Morgan City Police Department Cantrell was found to have suspected cocaine in her clothing.  Sanders was also found to have warrants fromt he St. Mary Parish Sheriffs office.  Both subjects were booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail.

Chad Carmouche, 36 years of age, Address-Glenwood St. Morgan City,La.  was arrested on 11/12/2015 @ 10:28 pm.


Charges: Warrant-Obstruction of Justice
                 Warrant-Video Voyeurism
                 Warrant-FTA for DWI 1st
                 Warrant-FTA Criminal Neglect of Family


     Chad Carmouche was arrested after detectives conducted a search warrant of his residence.  Chad Carmouche was at the residence during the time of the search warrant and was placed under arrest after an investigation that alleged that Carmouche had used a cellular phone to take photos of a female subject.  Carmouche was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking. Carmouche was also found to be wanted by the 16JDC. The investigation is still ongoing.
