MCPD Arrest Report 12/09/2015

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the past reporting period beginning on 12/08/2015.


Ted A Smith, 46 years of age, Address: Dawn Drive, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/08/2015 @ 10:31 A.M. 


Charges:  Flight From An Officer
                  Stop Sign Violation
                  Resisting An Officer
                  Criminal Trespassing

     An officer responded to a local business on Everett Street in regard to Ted A Smith going onto the property which Smith had been previously removed and was advised not to return. When the officer arrived Smith was located inside of a parked vehicle.  The officer made conact with Smith when Smith 
began shouting at the officer then sped away from the officer. The officer then persued Smith when Smith was observed running several stop signs. A short time later officers were able to stop Smith near the intersection of Freret St. and Federal Ave. Officers ordered smith out of the vehicle and onto the ground when according to reports Smith refused to obey the officers. Smith was taken to ground, handcuffed and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Vicente Sepulvedia, 30 years of age, Address: Roderick Street, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/08/2015 @ 2:32 P.M.


Charges:  Stop Sign Violation
                  No Drivers License
                  No Vehicle Insurance

     An officer was patroling the area of Victor II Blvd. and Hwy 70 when the officer observed a vehicle run a red light at the intersection. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Vicente Sepulvedia. An investigation revealed that Sepulvedia did not have a drivers license nor did the vehicle have proof of insurance. Sepulvedia was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
 
Heidi M Songe, 39 years of age, Address: Third Street, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/08/2015 @ 9:16 P.M. 


Charges:  Possession With the Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                  Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Law (Drug Free Zone)

     On 12/08/2015 the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division executed a search warrant on Third Street residence of Heidi M Songe. Upon doing so Songe was located inside the residence and detained. A search of the residence was conducted when investigators located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the residence. Reports indicate that the residence was within close proximaty of a local elementary school which violates the uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. Songe was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

Earl J Mire, 48 years of age, Address: Glenwood Street, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/09/2015 @ 2:02 A.M. 


Charges:  Speeding
                  Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense

     An officer was partolling the area of Glenwood Street when a vehicle was observed speeding 40 mph in a 20 mph zone. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Earl J Mire. While speaking with Mire reports indicate it was believed that Mire had been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. Mire was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for further testing where Mire submitted to the intoxilyzer 5000 with a blood alcohol concentration of .156 grams percent. Mire was booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail and incarcerated. 

Ronald J Winslow, 25 years of age, Address: Terrebonne Street, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/09/2015 @ 4:05 A.M.


Charges:  Warrants - 3 Counts of Criminal Neglect of Family

     An officer responded to a local business on Marguerite in regard to a disturbance. The officer arrived and made contact with Ronald J Winslow. A warrants check revealed that the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office held several arrest warrants on Winslow. Winslow was placed under arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
