   The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 03/15/2016:


Sammy Morgan Sr., 48 years of age, Address-St. Clair St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/15/2016 @ 12:00 am. 

Charge: Theft of Goods

Officers were dispatched to a local business on Federal Ave. in regards to a theft. Officers arrived and were told by management that Sammy Morgan had concealed items on his person and left out of the store. A description of Morgan was given out and officers located him in the area of Egle St. According to reports, Morgan admitted to the theft. Morgan was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 

Brennan J. Foreman, 23 years of age, Address-Susan Court Morgan City, La. was arrested 03/15/2016 @ 2:00 pm. 

Charge: Contempt of Court

During court proceedings of the Sixth Ward City Court, Brennan Foreman became disruptive. Foreman was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 

Devonne J. Canty, 31 years of age, Address- Utah St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 03/15/2016 @ 3:33 pm.

Charge:  Warrant- Failure to Appear (Speeding)

Devonne Canty turned herself in to the Morgan City Police Department on an active warrant she held for the Sixth Ward City Court. Canty was booked and incarcerated. 

John F. Sanford, 47 years of age, Address-Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested 03/15/2016 @ 2:34 pm.  

Charge:  Warrant-Failure to Appear(Simple Battery)

John Sanford turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the Sixth Ward City Court. Sanford was booked and incarcerated. 

Keiera Wood, 19 years of age, Address-Canary St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/15/2016 @ 5:45 pm.

Charge:  Warrant- Probation Violation

Keiera Wood turned herself in to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant held for the Sixth Ward City Court. Wood was booked and incarcerated.
