The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 04/27/2016.

Donvin W Mingo, 40 years of age, Address: Bowmam St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/27/2016 @ 5:34pm. 

Charges:  Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense
                  Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Laws

     An officer responded to a local business on Brashear Avenue in regard to a call of a subject sleeping inside of a vehicle. The officer arrived when a vehicle matching the description provided was located with a subject who appeared to be sleeping inside. The officer made contact with the subject who was identified as Donvin W Mingo. Mingo's behavior aroused the officer's suspicions that he may be involved in illegal drug activity. A seach of the vehicle was conducted when the officer located suspected marijuana. The location of the incident was within the area of a local elementary school in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. Mingo was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where Mingo was booked and incarcerated. 

Darryl J Lagarde, 58 years of age, Address: Maine St. Houma, La. was arrested on 04/27/2016 @ 10:25pm. 

Charges:  Driving Under Suspension
                  No Turn Signal
                  Improper Lighting

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle with improper rear lighting fail to use a turn signal as it turned onto Eleventh Street from Hwy 182. A traffic stop was conducted when the driver was identified as Darryl J Lagarde. A drivers license check revealed that Lagarde had a suspended drivers license. Lagarde was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where Lagarde was booked and incarcerated.

David Aucoin Jr., 19 years of age, Address: Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/28/2016 @ 3:42am.

Charge:  Appearing in Public in an Intoxicated Condition 

     A patrolling officer came into contact with a subject walking in the area of Brashear Avenue near Seventh Street identified as David Aucoin. During conversations, Aucoin was suspected to have been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. Aucoin was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where Aucoin was booked and incarcerated.
