Charge: Disturbing the Peace by Fighting
Officers responded to the Morgan City Courtroom in regard to a disturbance. The officers entered the courtroom when they observed Richard S Ford and Toreum S Poole who were awating the start of court proceedings engaged in a physical altercation. Reports indicate that Ford and Poole were eventually separated after disobeying several commands from the officers to stop. Both Ford and Poole were placed under arrest, booked into the Morgan Ctiy Jail and incarcerated.
Vincent A Thomas Jr., 22 years of age, Address: Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/25/2016 @ 9:58am.
Charges: Warrant - Failure to Appear on 05/17/2016 for Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoids

Vincent A Thomas was located by an officer on Martin Luther King Blvd. where Thomas was arrested on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Thomas was transported to the Morgan City Jail where Thomas was booked and incarcerated.

Juan R Torres Jr. came into the Morgan City Police Department where Torres Jr. turned himself in on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Torres Jr. was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Ronda K Baines, 48 years of age. Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/25/2016 @ 11:25am.

Ronda K Baines was located by officers at a residence on Cypress St. where Baines was arrested in regard to an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Baines was transported to the Morgan City Jail where Baines was booked and incarcerated.
Brent Green, 21 years of age, Address: Cypress St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/25/2016 @ 3:20pm.

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling in the area of Elm Street near Pine Street when the officer noticed that the driver of the vehicle was not wearing a seat belt. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Brent Green. During the investigation, the officer observed a child inside the vehicle that was not in a proper child restraint. A warrants checked revealed that Green had an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Green was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where Green was booked and incarcerated.
Victor K Floyd, 40 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/25/2016 @ 7:40pm.

Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Speeding 62mph in a 35mph Speed Zone
Officers responded to a local apartment complex on Hwy 182 in regard to a call of an intoxicated subject causing a disturbance. Before officers arrived, the caller stated that the intoxicated subject got into a vehicle, began spinning the tires in the parking lot and then left the area traveling on Hwy 182. A description of the vehicle was provided to responding officers when an officer observed a vehicle matching the description provided traveling at a high rate of speed on Hwy 182. Reports indicate that the officer clocked the vehicle at 62mph in a 35mph speed zone. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Victor K Floyd. A drivers license check revealed that Floyd had a suspended drivers license. During the investigation, the officers suspected Floyd to have been drinking and believed that Floyd may be intoxicated. An assisting officer went to the apartment complex where the officer spoke with several witnesses to the incident. The officer was told that Victor K Floyd who was intoxicated, was at the complex causing a disturbance and attempting to fight with several people in the area. Floyd then got into a vehicle and left the area spinning the tires driving in a reckless manner. Floyd was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where Floyd refused further chemical testing. Floyd was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Robin Carbin, 48 years of age, Address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/25/2016 @ 11:36pm.
Charge: Enterying or Remaining Where Forbidden
An officer responded to a local business on Hwy 182 in regard to a subject inside the business that had been banned. The officer arrived and was told by a business employee that Robin Carbins went into the business and that Carbins had been removed and banned from the property from a previous incident. Carbins was located by officers near the business when according to reports, Carbins told the officer he had indeed gone into the business. Carbins was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where Carbins was booked and incarcerated.
